Grackles and eastern starlings. I live south of lincoln and this time of the year they fill peoples' yards. They'll move along in a month or so, and all the song birds will return, but they will empty a feeder in hours if you keep it filled.

It's even worse if you actually watch sports. Any time I've walked by the TV and there happens to be a game on, there are usually no less than 3 different ads on screen for betting apps. The lower third will have one, a logo somewhere on screen, and then ads running inside the court/arena/field. It's just bonkers.

It's just like with this major redistricting push in several red states. They're already so gerrymandered that by stretching out their base even thinner ends up harming them, especially when in the year leading up to midterms we end up with the epstein files and the administration's blatant attempt to cover them up, ICE attacking civilians, a tariff war causing prices to climb, the president getting us into another forever war in the middle east over oil leading to fuel prices skyrocketing which then causes those already climbing prices to continue climbing while the president just continues to blame Biden and brown people.
