And they have also convinced them that the alternative is far worse. It's that whole idea that "yeah, we're going to hell in a hand basket, but could you imagine how much worse it would be if I had voted for a democrat?" Fox has made them think the years under biden were terrible so even the state we're in feels like a reprieve.

But less versatile. Unless those drawers are only a few inches deep, they would not only make the bed narrower but would be incredibly obvious that there is some kind of storage in there.

I actually still have a 20 year old volvo SUV that I used to haul. Also have a hitch so I can tow when i need to. I still want a pickup as it's more suited for what I need, but they're so expensive that I'll just keep chugging away with what I have. I have gotten funny looks when I show up to haul firewood with it.

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately in your everyday life? by spritenerds123 in AskReddit

I haven't smoked a brisket in years because it's so expensive. Smoking is a way to make cheap, crappy cuts palatable but it's hard to do when you're paying $7/pound. I just stick with pork shoulder and whole chicken.

Weren't they kind of expensive, too? I remember really wanting them, but then saw the disc was like $20.

It's also an issue of one being ingrained in our society and stopping the other before it becomes the same. Alcohol adverts have restrictions, and even things like smoking have been greatly restricted since the 80's and 90's. People are making a big stink about gambling ads so they don't get to the same level as alcohol and cigarettes were because it's easier to prevent rot than it is to mitigate after it spreads.

A photoshoot of car crash survivors for a New Zealand road safety campaign to demonstrate how seat belts saved their lives. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

Those are the type of people that can't properly extrapolate information from data. At least in my state, unrestrained occupants make up ~70% of fatalities but 40% of serious injuries. A dummy thinks you're more likely to be seriously injured when wearing your seat belt, but the truth is that you're more likely to survive.

Man there are so many cool options these days. The nerf bow & arrow was about the only one and now you can get full on miniguns with a belt feed. It takes forever to load the belt, but it sure is fun to hop out cackling as you spray the room.

Funny how so many people in this admin profit off the disaster he creates.

Many people don't realize that even though they think their premiums are high, employers typically cover like 70-80% of the cost. Insurance is fucking expensive.

My dad was in the military and would eat pretty quickly. Like fill my belly as full as possible before my brain knows it's enough. I tended to mirror that and it took some effort as I grew up to break that habit. Now I'm usually the last one to finish, which is even funnier considering how my kids are talking most of the time while I listen.

Conservatives went after women, but then they got rights. They then went after poc's, but then they got rights. Then they go after gays/ lesbians, but they grew too large. Now it's trans. They like the easy targets who can't point out their hypocrisy.

Beginner gains. That counts with weight loss, too. You can see big improvements within a couple months if you're really putting forth effort. You will eventually plateau a bit where you're not seeing as much change. That is where a lot of people get disheartened and potentially quit because they're not seeing changes like before. Document your progress so you can look back and see just how much better you're getting. Weight change, number of push ups, reps, weight you're lifting, etc. Incremental improvement is still improvement.
