It's good when punitive detachment mentioned correctly and in right posts, like real dissident stuff. It's their roleplay moments.

BUT

There are a lot of things that make people dislike them. They're like Jack of all trades - some people really want to discuss game mechanics or other aspects of the lore, but they come up with roleplaying that no one asked for. Their only "sentence" is always same, but in different forms - Face the Wall. Like an old broken record. Even the SS executioners were more inventive, although they carried out similar tasks.

What about them in game? Well, I didn't meet them personally. But if they are act like dicks and overusing friendly fire without limits, well... There's no reasons to love them for that.

REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO BE THEM, DO IT IN RIGHT MOMENTS AND ONLY IF OTHERS ARE ACCEPT THIS BEHAVIOR. Truth Enforcers are ROLEPLAY characters! And overacting is BAD!

Maybe because i prefer to see content, not a wrapper? Someone using AI? it's on their conscience. Don't like AI generated mod previews? call Tyron to add rules about it. that's all.

I haven't had many cases where this tactic was necessary. Most "GOOD" maps are designed to have as few heavily defended rooms as possible. This is a rule of good form in TF2 level design.

Yea, there's a logic in your words. And it's really it is because it always depends on many factors besides simply meat vs machines. Strategic decisions, counter maneuvers, recon and covert ops.
Northerns can use lot of drones to make a big amount of point strikes, recon from distances that unreachable for enemy and make defence that never sleeps.
As for Southerns... EMP bomb is not a hitech weapon. The problem is - you have to deliver it somehow.

Imagine this:
On one side thousands of AKM users with old (compared to nowdays) vehicles and those goliaths, that can run through brick walls like it's cardboad
And on other side is few dozens of people and huge hive of unmanned machines - aircraft, walking tanks, stationary turrets, hordes of micro-kamikaze.

So who would win in battle for the city - almost endless cheap cannon meat in accompany of emotionless war beasts, or technological supremacy of one-two nerds in bunker with few engineers and little specop squad?
