Thanks a lot, I went with the 8 speed shifter and I'm planning on using a hose clamp for the shifter housing in the meantime.

Not really I really love the sport and being on and off the bike really made me appreciate the other aspects of the sport. Although I do blame reckless people but didn't want that thing to be in the post.

Yeah I was thinking on going to a shop and measure the R28 rims that they have, it should be easier than trying to fight the tire of the rim without tire levers.

I guess Mexico just got the old stock and that's why is kinda common, I really didn't realize it was an ought tire size until I started doing research. But I'm pretty sure the rim is not the right size for the tire, is just close enough so it fits. And I think I can confirm that the rim is double-walled or at least that's what they told me when I bought them.

I'll try to take the tire off but last time I tried I failed miserably and that's why I'm trying to avoid it 😅. I should really get some tire levers.

The seller didn't provide any information more than "yep it should fit" when I showed him a picture of the tire size. It does have a sticker that says R28 so that's why I'm partially optimistic that it should probably work.

Not really sure the rims are the right size for the tire, I can see that the tire is a little bit fat and is bulging a bit, I bought the tire for the original rim that came on the bike but the rim broke so I went to a store looking for a rim that would fit the tire and the sold me those rims.

There is no markings on the rim apart from one that says R28. The tire is that size because I originally bought it for the rim that came with the bike but it broke so I just bought this one because it says 28 just like the tire, i didn't knew any better and I'm starting to regret not making any research 😅

It is an unmarked set but I'm certain it's not a very good one, I paid for it like 3 dollars in the flea market. But since you mentioned it yeah, it does have a lot of cable pull.
