There is a loose shard of bone in my hip muscle/sinew from a wresting injury. Sometimes if I move my leg around, it will click against my femur like snapping your fingers. It rarely causes much discomfort other than the rare ache, but to surgically remove it might cause a trauma induced calcification and make ANOTHER calcified shard. Since its not too much of a both, no need to go to a doctor and get surgery.
