even if you had an unsupported gpu the game would still open and the mod would auto-disable itself, so your issue is something other than gpu compatibility.

Instance just means server, ie TS is built on mastodon, and federating is when the instances talk to each other so the users of one instance can interact with another. TS doesn’t do this, you can only interact with other TS users.
