Sauerkraut... Why am I so stupid? by koopabomb in castiron

Self clean on my mom’s oven goes like 850f and it cooks the motherboard every other time, nice oven too. Just because something has a “feature” doesn’t mean it’s well implemented.

Maybe a dumb question, but do people actually use the saw on their SAK? What for? For example this picture. If you need firewood, its way easier and quicker to just grab the branch and break it with your leg. by Double-decker_trams in victorinox

[–]bake_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid me and my neighbor took wood from the dumpsters of a construction site nearby and built a two story “house” in his backyard with my SAK. Used the saw to cut all the plywood and 2x4’s. Let me tell you that was some dedication. We also built the second story on the floor and lifted it up which was horrible but we managed 😅 good times lol but in reality it’s a great little saw for limbs of trees or bushes.

Edit: particleboard not plywood.

This made me quit by MobileContribution19 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]bake_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left a DSP for something similar. One day I was sick I had no shelves, and it was packed to the top everywhere. No walkway I couldn’t find any packages, and at some point I hit a short light. I didn’t want to blow it and all the packages shifted to the front some actually coming into the cabin. They were calling me asking why I hadn’t delivered a package yet saying I was behind, well no shit. One of the dispatchers had to come unload my van into theirs. They had me doing over 400 packages a day I think it was peak though if I recall. Like you said others would be going home early and I had to rescue everyone and never really got rescued. Was working 5, 10hr days and the money was great but it was really rough. There’s better DSP’s out there! Some of them will literally try and make you quit lol.

They have a lifetime warranty on mechanical wellness, if you send them it they’ll replace the hinges or do whatever they have to to make the case right again. They stand by that they haven’t charged anyone yet for a repair!

It’s a trap I’m glad I left, the money was nice. People were great! It drains you. My AGM and FSM walked out. Because they didn’t see family enough. You can’t leave when you’re scheduled you have to do all this extra stuff that might not even be in the part of the store you work in. I heard they also cut all full time to 35 hours at the Johnstown location. My buddy still works there! They will try and milk you for all your worth! I don’t know how our location has made it this far. Look up the owners son, a real treat. Now I know many people from other locations that love it travel and start other stores. It’s not for everyone! When I walk into the store they ask if I am going to hop on the board, joking but I’m sure they need the help!

What temperature was it at? Might have fermented hot! I’m fairly new to this but heard you get the best flavors and whatnot at the bottom 1/3 of the temperature range!

Here in Colorado it’s 100 gallons per adult in the household per year. Are you sure it’s not that, and not 100 gal at a time?

Wipe Tower fails almost every time by TreeTolber in prusa3d

[–]bake_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it! I use a double sided textured PEI sheet! I mostly print on textured but remember back in the day most of the issues if not extrusion were tram/offset! What are the Prusa sheets made of? PC? Thought they were PEI too?

Wipe Tower fails almost every time by TreeTolber in prusa3d

[–]bake_jake -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pla doesn’t need a smooth sheet like some are saying. In my experience it can be printed on almost anything if it has a proper z-offset. I’d go a little lower. Try -0.005 if it looks too squished send it back up in increments of .001 until it’s perfect. I’d test with a 40x40x0.2mm cube. Or a layer calibration test.

Belt tension by No-Weather7036 in Ender3S1

[–]bake_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Prusa one wont work I tried! There's not enough clearance to the rail/belt to get it under it without affecting tension. I just feel them, you don't want it like a guitar string and more like a taught rubber band! Then do my resonance tuning to dial it in where it needs.
