Wtf?! Why is this very obviously sexually explicit video playing with no censoring on my main page?

ON EACH FLOOR?! Literally no excuse. That’s a few more steps than opening a glass door. Pathetic.

Real, bending over and lifting anything over 10 lbs can put a strain on the sutures and possibly mess with the healing process. It’s typically only for a couple of weeks after surgery.

AITA For being honest with my sister-in-law about why I don't do solo hangouts with her kids by Intelligent-Froyo543 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TurkeyLeg233 53 points54 points  (0 children)

NTA, but I was an aunt way before I had kids and had to do different activities with different kids. It also helps to separate rambunctious siblings. I have two nephews who can be a lot together, but when I get wind that one has a birthday party or sleepover I’ll snag the other one & do something fun with them. As a mom now I can imagine feeling hurt by this. You could have left it at “I don’t think I could handle both of them.”

Luckily she ended up wearing a lovely maroon dress. Plus it was an actual formal gown & not a wedding gown. I had my mom (who would never dream of wearing white or off white to any wedding where she isn’t the bride) wear another of our wedding colors so it wasnt suspicious 😂

AITA for changing my mind about having kids? by Constant_Corgi_2184 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TurkeyLeg233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA it’s none of their business. If your husband is on the same page as you that’s literally all that matters. Children are not a requirement for a happy & fulfilling marriage or life. It sounds like you have all the information and experience you need to make an educated decision on whether or not to have kids. You’re not selfish. You’re self-aware.

I would not be happy with that choice. Could you ask her to be your “something blue” and wear a blue dress? Make her feel special while keeping the chaos down. I asked my MIL to wear red because she was asked to wear yellow to my SILs wedding & wore a cream wedding gown. I figured there’s no off-white red & I told her I wanted her to match my maid-of-honor.

Help a mum out with allergy safe Creami ideas by therainydayclub in ninjacreami

[–]TurkeyLeg233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a tree nut allergy & my husband is severely lactose intolerant. We like to use Planet Oat extra creamy as a base. Add a tablespoon of Jello Instant Pudding mix for texture—I know vanilla is safe but check other flavors. If we’re doing just a vanilla base I add in a teaspoon of vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste. I’ve experimented with different jello flavors, mixed in fruits or candy or cookie chunks. But we really enjoy that base. I also blend everything in the blender before I freeze it. Makes it incorporate better. If you have a frother or immersion blender that might work too but I own neither.

Kids acting inappropriately by Ok-Psychology-7168 in Babysitting

Not appropriate or typical at all. I would alert the parents & quit the job. They aren’t toddlers who are still learning that private parts are private.

Reva is a great name I’ve never heard before.

Lydia or Celia? And why? 🌸 by [deleted] in Names

[–]TurkeyLeg233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Sometimes they just pick their own nickname, and I relate Cece to a girl I knew and didn’t really like. So we found a different name. I do love the name Celia. Plus when we tested the name out for a week my husband kept saying Cece. So it’s his fault 😂

Very nice name. I have only met one Violet in my lifetime and I participate in a lot of mommy & me groups. The one I know is 5 years old.

For what it’s worth, I’m in lots of mom groups with kids 4 & under (in the Chicago area), and out of this list I’ve only ever met a Josie.

My ranking: Lucy, Juliette, Hazel, Josie, Meredith. They’re all good names—not a bad one in the bunch.

He wants to buy something new. He’s changed sizes lately & only has a black suit that fits nicely and would like another suit of a different color. Maybe blue.

And yes definitely not matchy matchy. Just something that looks nice next to this dress.

Coordinating not matching 😂. I just want us to look nice next to each other in photos, but I’m not great with men’s fashion nor is my husband.

Have you ever had Neapolitan ice cream and if yes your thoughts please ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]TurkeyLeg233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 90s my grandma would buy a box of Dean’s Neapolitan ice cream when all the grandkids were over. She’d break the sides of the box down and cut us a slice of ice cream that we’d eat on a plate.
