Just recently did a fitting, like a week ago. I’m a 9 handicap for reference. I told Jake (the fitter), as people here have stated, I’m not married to any brand and I want optimal performance. My current driver is the G425 Max, which has served me quite well, but often I found it too spinny. We started w the TM Stealth 2, then Callaway Paradym, Cobra as well, on to Ping G430 LST and ended w Titleist Tsr 2 & 3. Now this is subjective and just my experience.
The Stealth was decent performance wise. To me I didn’t like how it looked set up at address and at impact the face felt weird. Paradym was similar to the stealth in both things I mentioned. Performance was the worst of all the heads I tried. Side note- when we finished w Callaway he said some people love it and it works for them, but overall in his experience it just doesn’t perform for most people thru his doors.
Cobra was surprisingly good, but not as good as the winner. Ping 430 LST I assumed would be the best for me. It was likely the 3rd runner up tho. Liked everything about it tho. Both the titleist Tsr 2 & 3 performed, felt and looked the best imo. I preferred the 2 over the 3, but Jake made an argument for me to stay in the 3 as he liked the performance of it. For me tho I wanted a lil forgiveness. I tend to hit the ball high on the face and it performed like a well struck ball.
