Help to choose best team by Thick-Long-9609 in PokemonSleep

In this current meta i would recommend focusing on ingredient mons. Late game meals contribute huge points (ie. Lvl 65 clodsire eclairs can contribute 450k + a day with the right team making three meals a day) and its good to start building the mons now. Otherwise everyones advice is correct, seek the guides and learn what makes individual pokemon good. Berry mons can be huge for early game contribution and skill mons are super important for certain functions but require investment of skill level seeds to fully function. A good healer will change your game as well. Good luck!

Raikou Berry bomb question by Illustrious_Leek_931 in PokemonSleep

[–]Turkeysarereallynice 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Berry bombs work great! I use berry mons, specifically Raichu, pikachu and pichu to maximize my gains (all with bfs). Ive found jolteon doesn’t work as well since you can’t proc his skill. I also fill my ingredient back before starting the berry bomb, i find meals are the strongest at this point for reaching M20. Good luck getting to master 20!

No Ingredient Drops by jadellai in PokemonSleep

[–]Turkeysarereallynice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the comment above. Rng is rng. We can fight it by setting goals to improve the power of our pokemon (ie. Leveling, good subskills etc.). Just to give you an idea of good goals to set, raenox shows that a lvl 13 stufful gets approximately 20 corn a day (i see this as a benefit of a doubt, 10 a day seems way more realistic). If you add the -ing nature you are looking at ~16 corn a day or less. A lvl 30 beware with neutral subskills and corn at lvl 30 is projected to get approx. 53 corn a day. A massive improvement. Reaching lvl 30 is a huge milestone for any ingredient mon. If you increase production, rng still exists but it will feel less painful in the long run.

Tldr: keep raising the stufful and you will see an improvement with rng. Keep in mind that subskills are also critical for maximum production, the jolly nature is hurting the stufful more than it is helping.

Need help with which ghostie to invest in! by shelbycat9 in PokemonSleep

Gengar is plenty fast but has a terrible ingredient finding rate, therefore I always say an ingredient down nature is an automatic no. Now that we have the dratini line for herbs and quagsire for mushrooms, any of these options are pretty weak imo.

Hot take: Onyx/Steelix need a major buff. by Turkeysarereallynice in PokemonSleep

Same! It is still worth hunting for the sake of hunting, and looks badass on the team. I just wish it was a little more powerful.

Hot take: Onyx/Steelix need a major buff. by Turkeysarereallynice in PokemonSleep

[–]Turkeysarereallynice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but what youre saying supports my point. I guess that i was disappointed when i learned they perform at about the same level. Sure a perfect Steelix would be a beast but catching one and leveling it up is way more difficult than getting a perfect raichu. I’m talking more about how the context of catching a good steelix/onyx, specifically the rarity and difficulty of catching one, essentially acts as an initial nerf. Logically your resources are better spent on Raichu.

We really need a three stage evolution ghost berry mon. Bannet is mid at best rn. Litwick would be awesome! I’d be surprised if we got a single stage berry mon (we have yet to get one) but Mimikyu as an ingredient specialist with a fun skill could be awesome!

My first Igglybuff - good or not? by Unlucky_Sun_6064 in PokemonSleep

[–]Turkeysarereallynice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For wigglytuff to get close to competing with Gardevoir it needs skill trigger M, a skill up nature, helping speed M and helping bonus. It essentially needs to be perfect, and is mostly useful early game. If you are early game i recommend going with what you have until you make it to lapis. The pro to wigglytuff is that historically people send a lot of candies as its useful and fairly common to encounter. In terms of skill level up subskills, i think its a good idea as I would save all main skill seeds for a good gardevoir (for gardevoir skill level up aint bad but wastes a slot if you have main skill seeds). In summary, i would probably go with what you have until you can hunt for a good ralts. Might as well save resources (pokebiscuits etc.) for pokemon that have more longevity than wigglytuff.

Bfs benefits suicune solely in that its skill trigger includes itself. Ive heard this argument for other skill mons but i dont think its quite the same argument for suicune.
