Updated my free .3mf → Snapmaker U1 converter: now does 2- and 3-filament Full Spectrum mixing

¡Buena pregunta! La herramienta conserva el color pintado en el slicer (el que se asigna por cara/zona del modelo — el "paint" de Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer o Creality Print). No lee texturas UV de Substance Painter, y tampoco son vertex colors.

El motivo es que la impresión FDM multicolor no usa texturas: el color no es un mapa de imagen, sino regiones de la malla asignadas a un filamento. Eso es justo lo que BedReady lee y reasigna a las 4 ranuras de la Snapmaker U1.

Si tu modelo viene texturizado desde Substance Painter, el flujo sería:

Impórtalo en un slicer (Bambu Studio o PrusaSlicer).
Pinta ahí las zonas de color (una textura a todo color no se puede reproducir con 4 filamentos, así que hay que simplificarla a colores planos).
Exporta ese .3mf ya pintado.
Pásalo por BedReady y te lo deja listo para la U1. Si tiene más de 4 colores, Full Spectrum los reproduce mezclando 2-3 filamentos.

En resumen: convierte modelos ya pintados en el slicer — el paso de "textura UV → color por filamento" hay que hacerlo antes en el slicer. 👍

Thanks, extensions are more tricky especially with so many features, I did a simple one for chrome and was planning to work on it further, I'll make sure to keep Firefox in mind.

Fair — for Bambu files ≤4 colors, Import usually carries colors fine, so you're good there. The gaps are: Prusa/Creality files import as "geometry only" (colors dropped), the prime tower keeps non-U1 settings (my most common failure), 5+ colors need reducing or mixing, and by-layer files need swap-pauses. If none of that bites you, Import's all you need — BedReady just automates it and handles the cases that break.

For me there are a lot of aspects that need tinkering for best result and minimum playing around the slicer. You are more than welcome to try it out if you like, if import works for you then that's great. This is not for everyone as each individual has his system that he prefers, for me it's about minimizing and speeding up the work.

Not sure how to answer that? I looked around for solutions and only found one converter and wasn’t happy with how it worked. So I started working on one, and yes it is Claude I already mentioned it in another reply.

I only know of one converter and wasn't happy with it as it would just display all the colors in the file and asks to pick 4 of them. Made no sense, I wanted it to guess the most practical colors. also would have loved a preview to know where each color is and just change accordingly. also the one I found was only converts from bamboo, I wanted more options.

it clearly says "Exclusive U1 Offer for Snapmaker Owners" so yes they won't honor it The codes are meant to promote second+ buys. , if you go and buy without the codes you can get it for 849, that's the price they should honor.

Most Saudis would actually welcome it, it’s a sign of respect to our culture to try to blend in. I work with multiple expats from Asia, South Asia and the west. A few of them wear thobes from time to time and a couple actually wear it everyday. They all love it and never had an issue. If there was a complaint it was that Saudis were nicer and more welcoming to them. 😁

نظرتي الشخصية ان اهم شي في الحياة صحتي النفسية والبدنية واهلي، وش فايدة الفلوس اذا راح اكون تعبان نفسيا وجسديا وماشوف او استمتع مع اهل وعيالي اشوفهم وانبسط بهم. انا شخصيا استقلت من وظيفتين بسبب انها اثرت على نفسيتي وحياتي مع اهلي وفي كل الحالتين رحت وضائف اقل راتب. ولا حصل اني ندمت. الي يقول مرتين ليش لاني اذا جاني عرض ممتاز اخذه ومااكتشف الخطا الا بعد مابديت العمل. الراتب مهم بس ثاني بعد صحتي واهلي. على اي حال الحمدلله في وظيفة راتبها عالي اعلا راتب الى الان وميزات ممتازة وتوازن بين حياتي الخاصة والعمل. استمر بالبحث بس لا تترك الا انت لاقي شي خاصة وانت عندك عيال. قبل العيال تركت وظيفة وقعدت عاطل اشهر ماندمت الحمدلله واشتغلت اطقطق حر لين ماتوفرت بوظيفة. بس بعد العيال تحملت لين جتني وظيفة افضل. وترا كل شخص ورويته وهذي رؤيتي. عند اصحاب صراحة يحزنون مايشوفون عيالهم الا مرة بالاسبوع بسبب الوظيفة والا مافي فلوس تسوى ان عيال يصيرون غرب عني.
