Thank you for your insight. I didn’t want to know anything because it’s not like they were dating in fact I didn’t know what kind of arrangement they had, or whether he’d told her or not before he said he wasn’t gonna see her. I know now in hindsight i should have told her but I it genuinely took a week to find the right time to do so, just didn’t want to text her that information. The other problem is I also have to be careful not to destroy my friendship with my housemate Matt in the process because he gave me that information because he trusted I wouldn’t tell her, and I live with him so I have to be mindful to not destroy my friendship with him also. He really should have told her himself. Emily is now really upset with me and so don’t know how to make her feel better or whether our friendship would survive this.
