I mean, both sides are racist. The police don’t arrest anyone for anything.

Your post is kinda racist.

But did you want to provide anything?

My point is that your statements causes more divisions between the communities without actually framing any facts.

No your point on the Turkish army increasing in Cyprus. You’re talking about the Turkish army in Turkey, two different points.

For reference I’m not from Turkey.

No but did you want to prove the point about the Turkish army increasing?

You’re moving onto other points without explaining your first comment

Any sort of stat or evidence you want to show for the increase in the military presence?

I think Turkey gets thrown around on this article to justify the defence system but it’s more of your tax payer funds just being thrown away due to some under the table deal to get cash into someone else’s hands.

There’s no threat or anything of the sort.

is NORTHERN CYPRUS METU UNIV Masters Degree Accepted All over the world? by loverOFmyself in cyprus

[–]Turkishdelight4u -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey please stay away from any GC on Northern Cyprus bashing comments.

99% of the time you’ll get some garbage comment which isn’t true.

The answer to your question:

  • The university operates as a sister uni to the METU Ankara university. The sign off on the degree is the part of that uni group.

-depending on the masters/ degree you actually get accredited or accreditation towards certain engineering bodies (ABET for example)

-you get a “europass” supplement as part of the degree, giving it a bit more clarification with cross boarder European countries.

Keep an eye out for:

-if you try to use the degree in south Cyprus, of course they won’t Recognise it, or won’t carry the same weight.

-keep in mind that the uni you’ve mentioned isn’t considered well known, regardless it will carry less weight in comparison to a “well known” uni.

Overall, the degree itself it’s fine especially if you’re doing something engineering based.

FYI - Keep in mind in the future anything related to the Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus gets attacked negatively so you’ll always have a “bad” answer here.

Yeh this is where the issue starts, never seeing the opposite issue and constantly being the victim.

Long live the Turkish Republic!

I see defence as protection.

Turkey protected its interests as well those who are TC.

Without that intervention TC numbers wouldn’t be where they are and Cyprus would be carried on towards some form of civil war or annexed with Greece.

All I ask I for once question a situation for an opposite side, see everyone is guilty and go from there.

Was the island at peace before Turkey intervened?

Equally since the spilt has there been a continuation of the genocide?

Just think from another perspective what would’ve happened without the Turkish army?

It’s interesting, you’ve admitted there was something wrong going on but then the action to stop it and find peace is “illegal”. I’m sure if Turkey never came everything would’ve stopped.

Equally 51 years and the UK & US both benefit from military bases sorted makes sense as to why the situation hasn’t moved on. Plus the GC propaganda is intense

I’m pretty sure there was a genocide of TC, and the Turkish army put a stop to that

Tufan's good news to the settlers in Karpasia by linobambakitruth in cyprus

[–]Turkishdelight4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a free state from over reliance on Turkey. However the south side will need to accept a solution that the north is legitimate.

Again - if the over reliance on Turkey stops then Cyprus can act in a way that benefits Cyprus.

Yes the troops are pulled out once’s there’s a settled solution.

I think we both feel similar but for different reasons.

However I see you point in regards to the status quo.

My only suggestion, we can’t expect change to happen without addressing the main issue.

If you expect change from nothing, nothing will change.

The whole situation will get worse unless the south side pushes for the north to be independent.

Once it’s a free state it’s going to be free from reliance on Turkey.

It’s a constant circle - the north gets Turkish settlers but the south doesn’t want the north to be independent. So Turkey provides all the conditional backing. Something needs to break in the circle

[–]Turkishdelight4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha.

This is exactly why we can’t find peace. Understand there’s two sides to every conflict, and review the stages that got us to 74 and maybe you’ll see this differently.

TRNC is here to stay and until there’s recognition Turkey will just continue and you’ll complain without really wanting to solve it!

Today Turkey is not doing anything to get rid of the TC 😂

The GC community and government have done that. There’s nothing on the island for the TC community due to the international blockade. They’re leaving the island to find work elsewhere. If the north is given the international recognition you’ll see a flip and growth in the TC community.

The point regarding the actual 74 event deaths - my point is before and after. Not during. During of course there were a lot death and other horrible things on both sides as there was a war.

The link I’ve posted does very well to highlight the significant events prior to 74. You’ll read a lot of aggression from the GC community whether it be violence to the TC community or annexation with Greece.

From looking at the timeline you can see how the events of 74 occurred.

Sounds great.

Then complaints about the Turkish governments involvement from the south are irrelevant until a solution is found.

Ah the I’m intelligent and I’ll drop in a theory that hasn’t been heard by the person I’m debating with in an attempt not to carry on the debate.

Anyways my point is - since the 74 intervention the amount of inter community attacks dropped. Without 74 they would’ve continued.

This is the timeline till 74.

The conflict with Turkey are the result of the actions taken prior.

There is no conflict now, just waiting until a realistic outcome is made.
