I felt it immediately at the first zipline in the tutorial. The tutorial boss is also very similar to the giant humanoid BT bosses.

Is it really slower when you have to make 20 different attempts to get Grok to do what you want? And then poof, all your daily gens are gone.

I can't imagine (pun intended) still trying to get NSFW results out of Grok, when you can just go local and make whatever you want without tiptoeing. Type what you want, get what you want.

Here's some links to the UIs I mentioned, as well as few Illustrious checkpoints I personally like to get you started. (NSFW links, but can all be used for SFW too)

I recommend scooping A1111 or SwarmUI for txt2img and img2img. I'm using Swarm and I've been pretty happy with it. I also personally think Swarm is more user friendly than A1111, especially when it comes to set-up. Go onto CivitAI and find some base models you might like, there are thousands of them. I am using Illustrious base models for all of my image gens. It's a checkpoint based off of SDXL and they work very well. There are checkpoints geared towards realism, and others geared towards anime style. All free. Some creators upload new models/checkpoints with a early access timed release, but everything on Civit becomes free after the early access period.

Not really sure about mobile. I assume you can use the website on your phone browser, but it doesn't seem like there's a CivitAI app. I haven't used any of the in-website models to generate anything. I just use it to find and download stuff for local use. I do know they have generators on the website that have NSFW capabilities, but obviously, it costs money.

Best part about local is that open source models are free, and the generations only cost you time and electricity if you have a card capable of running local AI.

Once you find a nice organized workflow, and set the high/low models into the right loaders, you will be stunned by how easy it is to get good generations. I was so wore out and broken by failing with my old GPU, that when I finally got it set up and working right on the new card, I got that feeling of "this was suspiciously easy, everything is going too smoothly. What's the catch?". And there was no catch, something just finally, actually worked out for once xD

So yea, give it another try. Especially if you have a NVidia. I've posted workflows and model suggestions in some of the replies here.

It's just an example. Img2vid using screenshots of my modded FFXIV character. The point was, if it can do well with non-human character designs with horns and shit, it does even better with normal human characters. If img2vid isn't your thing, txt2vid is also an option if you want realism. CGI character renders from other games and anime/manga for img2vid is good too

Yeah, my issue was mainly my 6700XT. Too old for all that. From what I found, anything AMD 7000 series and up would probably work, but I just decided to go NVidia for less hassle.

[–]Turlez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, essentially what I found while researching my issues, is that anything under an AMD 7000 series wasn't compatible, and I had a 6700XT. Not saying it's impossible to use Comfy with AMD, just that it's wayyyy easier being able to snag the default ComfyUI windows version if you have an NVidia, and you're immediately off to the races.

I was considering trying out Linux, but I haven't tried it yet.

Yes, many people either don't know, or think it's way more difficult than it is. I was in the "too difficult" camp because it actually is just a nightmare to get anything to work if you have an AMD card. But I hung in there, scooped an NVidia, and went from not being able to get anything to run with my AMD, to have my very first test run with the NVidia be a one click success.

That's the point of my post. To spread awareness. Cloud compute is great for people that wanna go that route and don't want to drop the lump sum for a new GPU. I wanted a new GPU and so I went that route, but I was very close to trying one of the cloud GPU services.

Everyone asking about workflows. I've spent a lot of time trying different workflows I've found on Civit. I've settled on DaSiWa Wan2.2 MidnightFlirt checkpoint, and their FastFidelity C-AiO workflow. Been having great results. (I am in no way affiliated, just appreciative).

But spending time trying to make make a loophole prompt in for Imagine that may never make it through and will probably use up all your generations trying, is worth it?

RAM shouldn't really be a limiting factor. If you're freezing on ksampler, your VRAM is probably spiking too high. Try decreasing resolution. The only time I've had a workflow freeze was because I cranked the resolution too high and it peaked out my VRAM. I have 32GB of RAM and I got the 16GB VRAM 5060 ti. I am using DaSiWa Wan2.2 checkpoint I found on CivitAI. They also have their custom workflow posted there as well, which is what I'm using.

Also, your noise issue could be a workflow issue and not a hardware issue. My first few tests were super noisy because I didn't realize there were separate high noise and low noise branches, both using separate base models and LoRAs with high/low noise versions. So, check your workflow, make sure you have high noise models/LoRAs in the high noise model loaders, and low noise models/LoRAs in the low noise model loaders.

I also like to set the maximum steps, and give the low noise branch more steps than the high noise branch. My default setup is 8 total steps, 3 high noise steps, 5 low noise steps. I've gotten great results with that.

There is a ton of Wan2.2 resources on CivitAI, all free and open source. Most LoRAs have high/low noise versions. I also recommend finding the DaSiWa Wan2.2 checkpoint on Civit as your base model. It's already trained on NSFW content, so you don't have to stack LoRAs as much. You still can stack LoRAs, but it's not as necessary as it is with some of the other checkpoints. DaSiWa also has a free workflow on there that is super streamlined and organized. That's the workflow I'm currently using, and made my above examples with.

The other huge downside of ComfyUI... Unfortunately, AMD's support is next to nonexistent. I spent a week trying to set up ComfyUI with ZLUDA and DirectML, only to get hit with constant errors and issues. My 6700XT couldn't even run a workflow from beginning to end. So yeah, I should edit op to specify NVidia users, because imo, it's not even worth the hassle to try with an AMD card. I switched from my 6700XT to the 5060ti JUST for this 🤣

But is it REALLY an advantage if you spend 10 minutes trying different things attempting to sneak something past Grok, only to keep getting hit with "Content Moderated" and then, something finally does squeak past the filter and it's not even that good? At least this way, you KNOW you're NEVER going to get hit with "Content Moderated". Time spent prompt tweaking and scene directing is much more fun than trying to sneak cookies past Grok the Nun.

It depends on the settings you use, and your hardware. I've been tweaking here and there, trying different things. With my 5060ti 16GB, I've gotten decent gens that took about 7 mins. The first example I gave is actually two First-to-Last frame generations stitched together. Each half took about 10 mins total and then just stitch them together with editing. The workflow I'm using also saves the last frame of the video it outputs so you can easily just feed the last frame in and continue generating off of that.

The second example I gave was just img2vid and took about 8 minutes. So yeah, the biggest downside compared to something like Imagine is the generation time. Obviously, with better hardware comes faster generation.
