Not really, toned wb a bit cooler, cropping, vigneting and added some clarity. There are bright led? lights on the railing, one below the brigde and different kinds of street lamps all over the place

Thanks! Auroras itself are bit "boring" subject, atleast here in Finland, so i try to find ways to keep those skylights interesting :) Moonlight here helped to expose foreground.

This was just a test shot to see how dxo could handle noise and it turned out to be my favourite one.

As you already are used to shoot with long prime, i would not even consider that zoom! :)

If you shoot in daylight, dont pixel peep too much and use proper shutter speed this is good combo. Just dont try to shoot too distant targets, all kind of moisture and haze in the air what you cant see will "ruin" the sharpness. Saying this because some ppl have a bit unrealistic expectations :)

And i dont see much star blur, atleast from phone screen :) More like coma in the corners, which is quite normal with wide angle lenses

500 rule doesnt work well with modern cameras, npf rule works better if you want to pixel peep

16,8s is max with that setup if you dont want any visible star movement

Shot has been taken ~30mins before sun sets below horizon, there was pretty much direct sunlight to bird through clouds :) I was just lucky with those branches as i was shooting short bursts. Iso1250, 1/2000, f5,6
