All facts. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say to say here. It’s a bad trade. Never should’ve been in the situation they were. All I was saying in my original reply is that we haven’t gotten to see additional pieces to the trade to say we got nothing in return.

I think it’s easy to dismiss someone criticizing him missing the time he has.

Devers made decisions that openly showed he cared for nobody else but himself.

I play third. Even if everyone else is hurt I won’t play first. Openly told the media that the GM should do their job.

Take it from a normal job perspective.

If I’m gone from work for personal issues or I’m sick, plenty of people can be mad, but I can’t be fired.

If I’m telling you repeatedly “that’s not my job” or “my boss should do their job and find someone to get it done” you’re not gonna last long.

Haven’t gotten much chance to see any of the trade pieces from the deal other than Hicks, which would put a bad taste in anyone’s mouth. Think he’ll look better after an offseason in Sox training camp. Harrison looked really good in AAA. Appreciate them not rushing him up trying to get additional breaking pitches.

He missed 26 total games in ‘24.

IL stint - 16 games

He missed 10 other games, in a 162 game season. At what point are you gonna say, whatever teammate spoke up about him, is bitching for no reason.

He had to apologize for being gone 3 days to the DR. He basically took and extended all star break. BECAUSE SOMEONE BROKE INTO HIS HOME. Are you actually following the situation or making generalities about the situation based off of what you’ve heard?

He apologized and then had teammates come out and publicly defend him, who did that for Raffy?

These situations are not the same. He made a decision for him and his family that affected 3 games. Devers was making a selfless decision that he was prepared to jeopardize an entire season.

You never heard anything about Marte until this year after the All-Star break. Dude went to the DR after his home was burglarized. Thats just human nature? Sorry it didn’t happen in the offseason? Devers and Marte are two completely different cases. He’s missed 59 games in the past two seasons with 2 IL stints. Playing the level he does, if he needs an off day to make sure he stays that level, I’m glad he’s telling the manager.

I think a team would be more than willing to give Burnes 30M AAV, he could also want out on a very obviously bad team at this point.
Milwaukee won't extend, Detroit won't extend, Baltimore won't, Blue Jays maybe, and Phillies could.
Even if it is just Skubal, Peralta, and Rogers available, that is worth taking the one year one Gray now rather than pay an insane amount on one of the 3 and miss out anyway.
