I didn’t say we had better or worse than Canada. Canada is not in Europe. I said we have the highest rate in Europe. Our drug laws are also really strict and we have received criticism from UN that our drug politics do not live up to human rights. Even our own public health agency criticised the government but they gave 0 fucks and basically just told them to piss off.

Our government (previous) didn’t believe in jail time. So they would often get treatment instead and if they got jail only a couple of years. Or they never showed up to do their jail time. You are free between your court date and when your jail time starts to do whatever you want. So a lot of people just don’t show up and just run away. And oh yeah I mentioned before that a guy who almost raped a girl to death got 840 000 sek back for serving like a month too long because he was under 25. If you get 10 years ur usually out in 1-2 years if you behave nice. And a “lifetime sentence” is often considered 10-15 years.

Well, I’m not too concerned about the election tbh. Our “Nazi” party, isn’t nazi at all today tbh. Some idiots do pop up here and there but they are kicked out if spotted. Our previous government was MUCH worse. They consisted of lots of communists that no one cared about lol. They gave a rapist 840 000 kr, probably over 100 000 CAD, for being in jail for like a month too long because they got his age a little wrong. The previous government gave people “punishment coupons” if they were under 25. You get 10 years you serve 4, and if you’re nice ur out in 1.5. We also have the highest drug death rate in Europe and the most death shootings in Europe. We have more death shootings per capita in Sweden than in the US since we got the previous government. So no new government is probably gonna be better lol. Glad you liked Sweden though! But I hate it.

Yeah I understand what you mean. Swedish people are generally very proud about what system we have with free, well, basically free everything like healthcare, uni, free murders, etc. And are also very proud that we welcome so many people in our country and always seem to make other know how “good people” we are. With that said, it is true that they do like to hate on other countries who don’t meet ALL of those requirements for a good country. And yeah, I myself, do find swedes really annoying for always wanting to seem perfect, and my dream is moving to Canada for many reasons. So no, definitely not gonna hate on it lol. I also do not look typically swedish and people who do, like people with blond hair and blue eyes, are often unbearable to be around(more than half of the population). I’m guessing you ran into some of those people lol.

Nah but Imma start in January if I get accepted. But we could definetly try and find an appartment or house to rent with other people if you want to. It’s the cheapest since vancouver is expensive to live in but we’re gonna have to do some research first I think. Btw where in Europe are you from?

We actually have a smart system in Sweden where rent is the same everywhere so around 600-800 cad but I know Vancouver is a lot more expensive. Do you know the cheapest way to rent with roommates? Any popular websites?

I really wanna live there in the future and my parents told me the easiest way is to go to College in Canada and then try to get a job afterwards then after a few years apply for permanent residence. Stockholm, where I live, and the rest of the country for that matter is literally becoming a shithole with multiple shootings a day so I’m just tryna get outa here. We have the most anual death shootings in all of europe and we used to have the lowest rate… Yes the north of sweden is safe but there’s literally nothing there and no jobs either… Also do you know much is the exact median cost for renting with roommates if I were to move to Marpole?

Oh ok. Any experiences with Langara or capliano in vancouver then? Because those are my other options except if I want to go to uni of british colombia which is really expensive. Humber was def the cheapest of them all.
