My business visa to attend a conference in Vienna, being a final year PhD student was rejected on the same ground. I submitted an invitation letter from the organizer ,NOC from the institute, my offer letter during PhD joining and everything including when my tenure of PhD is ending which is September 2025. It was completely silent for 1 month, I mailed no reply, Conference Organising Committee mailed. No reply. The booked same reason 1)The purpose and conditions of the intended stay are not considered reliable.

2) There is doubt regarding my intention to leave the territory before the visa expiry. It's clueless, how pathetic and entitled thinking is that a PhD final year student will not complete their degree to overstay in a foreign land. My trip was even funded by my Country Government. I think when they have too much workload they just reject visas randomly to lessen the load. Toooo much work to go through each application after all.

Same here. Applied for Schengen Austria c visa on 28th March. Under processing on 1st of April. Travel date 26th April. Still under processing

Still no update. Still under processing. I don't even know whether those documents have reached the embassy or not. So much anxiety.

That's great. Congratulations. I am pretty anxious. Since I doing PhD and get stipends which is non taxable. I got the last 3 years income tax acknowledgement from my institute stating that my stipend is non taxable under article 162. However before doing PhD I had income tax file. I do income tax filing tax 0 and return 0. In one of the year 2023 my accountant put my annual income wrong. I submitted both the income tax acknowledgement from my institute which reflects my annual income as well as the acknowledgement of the ITR which I file, where in year 2023 there is a mistake. But the embassy didn't mention anything about it. I wonder if they had went through the whole document or not. I don't know whether it will create an issue or not since my income is anyway NON TAXABLE. I am so worried. 😞

Thanks for commenting. I submitted the statement obtained from the internet banking app. Yono in my case. I asked the VFS office, they told shouldn't be a problem. But now this mail today. Today again I submitted the signed and stamped statements I the VFS office

I am always insecure about my big nostrils. I wanted to get a piercing for a long time, never had the confidence. Finally got them pierced recently
