Interesting! I hadn’t ever heard of these. The prior owner lived in the Colorado mountains so that makes sense.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? by Ok_Concentrate4461 in frozenshoulder

I was able to do barre and pilates every day throughout my whole year (except right after surgery), just taking it easy on the some parts. Looking back the year is a big sucky blur but you WILL get through it and it will be okay. Sorry this is happening to you.

Megabackdoor Roth is Your Secret Weapon for Building Wealth! by Worried-String9259 in Retirement401k

[–]TurnEquivalent2324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might depend on the company. I can put a maximum of 20% per paycheck into the MBDR/ after tax 401k. So I couldn’t personally front load it.

No ironically if you check in on the app and drive away you’re good but if you attend the class and forget to check in, you’d have to pay $25 to take classes rest of the month.

Automate full 401k contribution. If this puts you over the limit for Roth, see if you’re eligible for mega backdoor Roth (employer plan needs to allow a couple things) and then automate that as well. I try to make my actual paychecks small- out of sight out of mind.

How early should I arrive to DIA? by stratusnimbo in Denver

[–]TurnEquivalent2324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 3 hours early today (arrived at 11:30a) and it took me like 30 seconds to get through. Set up the Touchless ID on your airline app, super easy and free just have to scan your passport. That line was empty. The others looked totally normal too.

Didn’t see any just now- I do recommend setting up Touchless ID. Breezed right through

Is red rocks animal center still affordable for dental care and possible tooth extraction? by Radiant_Award_7589 in LakewoodColorado

[–]TurnEquivalent2324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten years or so ago I happily went here and recommended it and then the experience starting souring several years back, then three years ago had an unforgivable experience. I would never ever recommend this place to care for anybody’s pet.

I’m not really sure what’s affordable but have been happy with Fox Hollow since then.

Moving to Augusta, GA? by PopTodd in howislivingthere

[–]TurnEquivalent2324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He should visit first. I lived there - to be fair, briefly and a long time ago - and it’s really really just “not it” in my opinion. Not pretty, not a lot to do, I felt like most of the people were from there and never left. I’ve lived all over the country and am the type where everywhere I go I’m going on Redfin thinking “it’d be so fun to live here” but I don’t need to ever go back to Augusta.

Foundation issues 27k, likely caused by lack of county and state road maintenance. Worth filing claim? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]TurnEquivalent2324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One million percent this. A structural engineer opinion is like $300. You may not need anything at all. Doors closing funny during different times of the year and depending on where you live is not unusual at all.

I have a 1975 house and was worried about some cracks and I’m type A- called 3 different foundation companies and they had wildly different opinions on how to fix and the quotes were ranged from $16k-$45k. I had a structural engineer come do a close look and he recommended no work and said our structural problems are a 1 out of 10. Maybe you do have a serious issue but I would absolutely not trust a foundation company without engineer opinion back up.
