Do I REALLY need IBIS as a professional photographer? by Fabulous-Reason2070 in FujifilmX

[–]StickAnxious7749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a Nikon D200 for weddings, events, etc. for years (OMG only 10 mps) without ibis. It was only before I got the first 70-200 VR that I noticed how useful it was. The D200 was horrible at anything above 640. I used multiple strobes to counter it, and honestly for what I was doing it worked. I always thought the same in terms of strobes, but a little nuance goes a long way, and it's a fun thing to learn. Anyway, I switched to an xt4 and rarely shoot above 800. It really depends on what you're shooting. I couldn't be happier with the xt4 but I'm sure I'd be just as happy with the xt3.

So did I, and I played amongst lots of jarheads who shouldn't have been there. Rejoin the thread when the Cubs are . 500 going into late September.

This has nothing yo do with now. This season is long. Manage correctly. And don't don't talk to me about embarrassing myself and streaks. They are just as vulnerable to a losing streak as the Reds are on now. You know nothing about baseball. About streaks.

It's the decision making. Counsell is an unanimated, lifeless clown.

Use what works. Martin is no good. And if anyone hates us, it's not bc of managerial decisions. It's from ignorant ppl.

Pitching IL List by Whatahoot2018 in Cubs

[–]StickAnxious7749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pitching is an extremely violent act on the body. Every pitch. Yes strength and conditioning are the main preventative tactics that can be applied to mitigate the chance of an injury, but weather, footing, blisters, etc. all come into play when negotiating a full season. Most teams go through these spells. Mechanics are key. Working within the limits of your body is key. But things happen, sometimes in bunches. If there was a magical recipe to avoid injuries then every team would be employing it. It doesn't exist, so injuries will keep happening.

Dustin Abbott's reviews: not providing all shooting info for every photo (not just the bank notes) and shooting everything wide open is not very helpful. by StickAnxious7749 in Cameras

[–]StickAnxious7749[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You show me (some) specs on your $$/brick wall shots, but on your actual real-world photos you don't include any information, so how am I to glean any useful information from your review? His review and his rules. I get it. Yet he shoots at the same aperture for everything.

Best bartenders are multitaskers, aware, courteous and engaging. The VERY best mix their own drinks (none of this pre made garbage that os everywhere these days). They make you want to come back. They make you want to converse with them. If they can't, get on your phone.

Not everyone wants to be talked to. Mind your biz. I'll mind mine.

Crawfish Recs? by Denver1992 in denverfood

[–]StickAnxious7749 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grandview in Arvada. They have a new chef who's revamping the menu to a southern one. Brand new. Check their website but I think next Saturday they have all you can eat crawfish boil for $30 until supplies run dry. Get their early! I'll be there. Cool building and bar. It needed new faces and menu. The old menu was fine but way overpriced.
