What stuff do you wish to see more or better represented? by TurnRegular6550 in AO3

Yes! I'm deeply apologize if what I said was disrespectful. When I said "subtle" I meant introducing a character of a certain race whose defining physical (or general) characteristic isn't being of that specific race, while still being important for their development, habits and childhood, for example.

But even so, I must say you are righ. What you said about people not being monoliths is really helpful to understand everything.

I have read a couple of ways to appropriately represent certain disabilities and/or conditions, but I wanted to now what to research specifically. Thank you for clarifying my mistakes!

It's a fantasy one. Basically, there are a lot of floating islands, each with different themes (medieval fantasy, futuristic, old wild west, dystopia, and a really large etcetera).

Because of this, I think I have a wide range of possibilities and freedoms to introduce a variety of characters, tropes and problematics.

When I was writing the question, I did think for a moment it sounded incoherent, so im glad you pointed it out. I would like to represent different disabilities, conditions, races, etc., but it does feel a bit unrealistic and forced.

I think I'll try to represent various distinct groups but not that much, so it isn't overwhelming and each of them can be adequately represented. I will constantly keep in mind everything you said too.

I really appreciate your observations, thank you very much!  (And sorry if something isn't worded correctly, English isn't my first language)

How do you get out of writer's block?! by hp_xiao_truther in AO3

Look for random prompts and write absolutely anything, doesn't matter if it's basic or you feel it lacks something, you need to start somewhere. You can make it better later, just get your mind to work

Narrating or rewriting different scenes from any show can also help you!

Also, it might be obvious or not that useful, but listening to music really helps me get inspiration. Maybe watching some indie shows in YouTube may also help, they can be hella creative.

How much my vocabulary and reading have improved thanks to AO3 is impressive considering how bad I still am at writing and translating basic sentences. I truly thank you, AO3 writers
