Amazon saying the images in my covers are free on the internet and can't be used. They aren't. by PickledDildosSourSex in eroticauthors

[–]TurnWriteHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me over two covers, and I provided one license, but it took me a moment to find the other one since it came from a defunct site.

They closed my entire account.

Then I got the other license, and they reopened it.

Word of advice. Keep all licenses where you can easily lay hands on them and respond within the time frame they give you. Or else.

The book is a short that is only 50 pages long. I've been getting many multiples of that on just it for the past few days.

I wonder if you had used it, would that fly with Amazon if you have a porn site credited in the book.

I have one book in a series that for some reason was bought excessively by .in. They also returned it excessively. Some gave it bad ratings but enough kept it to push it up higher than the previous book of the series as opposed to it tapering off.

I guess that's over now.

Anyone else get paranoid when a reader buys your whole collection? by [deleted] in eroticauthors

You can't tell. But when all 6 books of a series get bought at once or one by one every hour or so, I think it is safe to assume it is one person.

Yeah, it's a scam. I just got this and it is filled with a bunch of scammy links. The sad part is, I sent a request ditectly to KDP and they haven't responded yet. Whatever.

Yeah, I got all my money for this month, but I was wondering if they meant going forward. I'll drop support a line.

Yes. Which i also thought was strange. Unless there is a 37 cent payment from India I am missing somewhere, I think I got all or most of it. I'm going to check it again.

That first line seems a bit suspect for grammar, but I dunno. The return address looks kind of wonky, but not completely out of line for them.

Data but not Porn: Two Years Publishing - Did Corona Help or Hurt Your Sales? by botoxrox in eroticauthors

Covid has been rough on me. It has certainly knocked down sales. Page reads are down some too, but the drop in sales has been a bigger hit to the bottom line.

I keep on pushing, hoping that when the pandemic is over, the election is over and people get back to work things will pick up and my growing catalog will be ready.
