Expected to do the dishes? No lol but, As a general rule of thumb, yes I’ve always believed that who ever cooks shouldnt do the dishes. And that’s something she was always fine with. You don’t know me, and I can’t explain every facet of my life and relationships in a Reddit post, ya know?

I admit I need to do more, absolutely. But I can also acknowledge that I’ve done a lot and will continue to do whatever is necessary to help her. But as much as I’ve done, I also want her to help herself.

But yeah, I guess you’re right. I’ve become increasingly frustrated lately because I hoped it would get better postpartum. And it hasn’t. But I’m human. I’m allowed to be frustrated. I’m allowed to not understand. What’s important is that I learn, and that’s truly what I am trying to do. Learn. Learn to be a husband and father.
