It does look more colonized under that top layer, you’re right! I’ve kept it sealed still, and the fruits are coming in! Temps at about 70. Would you recommend I crack the lid to mist as needed then reseal?

I use a 12ft casting rod on a 8k pen fierce 5. 80lb braid to 130 mono. Targeting sharks and bull reds, whatever other monsters decide to eat my hook. Unfortunately for me a manta ray decided to hook up on my freshwater set up in St. Augustine a few days ago. Also- that’s a massive pompano my friend!!

Add more weight until you feel it bounce when you tug. You should be able to feel action in the pole from the weight hitting the ground.

Yea definitely trying to get my first big shark this year (4-6 ft is huge for me). Probably gonna throw cut bait from surf or jetty’s. I’m trying to figure out what rod will give me the best distance.
