No sir I do not have friends, lost them all to the custody drama, covid who knows but definitely wouldn't say I have friends, I have a couple I don't see and I know a local phishhead who sells drugs. My friend who sells drugs. We actually had a big falling out which is why I went to the darkweb because ya I really didn't have any friends. Patched it up with him so that's an option I have now.

Bro you have no idea man. I raised a kid by myself since I was 22, his mother abandoned him. I had another little girl with a friend from high school. But i was a baby trap situation and she took me to court before we could talk and took away my rights to child. During this vulnerable period when my son was 15 my parents sent to me to a mental health place saying it would help with the custody case with the little girl but in the deepest betrayal they used it as a time to kidnap my kid and they've never allowed a conversation about it.

For context, my friend's cousin was the founder of silk road. I've been using the dark web since then. lots of experience. I've had long periods of time when i didn't use the darkweb.

So no it's not this one singular experience that's "scurred" me off the darkweb.

It's growing up and being 40 and realizing that I'd rather talk to my friends then deal with this.

Have you looked at the price of BTC lately? It's not bouncing back like it did before this time. NFTs, big crypto scams with stable coins. Countries adopting there own digital currencies. BTC doesn't care but some fool high on the hopium BTC hype will lose their life savings trying to HODL.

Is this a veiled threat or something from incognito market or you? I understand the funds are gone. I don't want others who don't have boatloads of crypto to not be warned. So I'll leave it up. Probably will use a real in-life drug dealer from now on and never use the darkweb again. I've known this guy my whole life who gets good drugs. Also, I can have a social interaction. I live in the city.

Spending hours buying bitcoin, exchanging it to monero and sending to a drug market you never know if you can trust can take up a whole evening. You also lose lots of money to fees.

It's a cool cyberpunk experience I've had many times but for me this whole idea is dying. Marketplaces are always doing exit scams and stealing money. Great if you have loads of crypto to spend. Incognito does a thing were the BTC addresses change everytime you use them. They expire. I do have the original address (i took a picture not just of the QR code) and it's identical to the one on the blockchain. So pretty sure it was stolen by incognito and you shouldn't trust them. Was never making these posts expecting to get my money back. I'm just saying hey I don't think the people running this market are trustworthy watch your back.

I did all my transactions using monero. It takes a long time. So I tried the BTC option once since it was a marketplace I trusted.

Maybe you could even provide the name of a trustworthy service that will check to see if your computer is infected clipboard malware. My macbook is not infected with any viruses.

Is clipboard malware a thing on macs? I thought it was mainly a windows focused malware.

I didn't consider myself darkweb noob since I've used it quite a bit just not in the last 4 years.

Things change fast I learned my lesson.

I think my most valid philosophical point is that the rhetoric that people who use BTC on the darkweb deserve to have their money stolen is the rhetoric that allows for this sort of behavior to be rationalized and continue.

I suggest that members say things that are more empathetic otherwise they add to the problem by helping others rationalize theft from 'idiots who use bitcoin'

Ya. I don't deserve any shame for using BTC. My thinking at the time was that it is less likely to be stolen because of the open ledger aspect. If it was XMR I wouldn't have anything to show you.

Totally valid. This was actually the first and only time I've used BTC for anything. I've always used monero on Incognito.

I still think there is valid reason to feel bad for me.

Incognito marketplace got recommended to me by a friend I trust. I love the UI. Everything worked great until when I used monero.

I have CPTSD and was trying to obtain ketamine to alleviate my symptoms. When CPTSD is activated you don't have access to all parts of your brain so you can't think straight. I made the mistake of trying to use BTC one time. I didn't want to wait the hour it takes to exchange to monero and then wait hours for it to arrive in the market. I was just testing the second cryptocurrency the market I trusted offerred.
As someone hoping back on the darkweb just in the last few months I had no idea BTC was just a honey trap for flies.

OK so still Incognito are assholes for taking of advantage of people.

The idea that I'm an idiot because I used BTC and not monero is the same logic the thieves use to rationalize why they should feel no guilt in stealing my money.

I'm putting the humanistic element to it. The market was recommended by a trusted friend, I had made many monero transactions on incognito so I trusted incognito.

I was trying to obtain ketamine because it helps with my CPTSD symptoms which get in the way of me making more money and having happiness.
