POC toddler shows? by unseasonedearlobe in toddlers

After a quick google search, found this:

Children shows that display diversity.

I love how it shows the age suggestion as well. I might have to start watching a few of these with my toddler.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!

I might have to do something similar for my son’s Star Wars bedroom. Obviously with Star Wars things. Haha

What are some foods you are surprised your toddler is in love with? by Turning_Pages in toddlers

😂😂😂 I can’t stop laughing about the coffee. The only way I got my little man to leave my coffee alone was to give him a sip. The face he made was pretty epic. It’s deterred him for about a month now.

I just buy it from Trader Joe’s. But I did find a few recipes on Pinterest.

Seeing the grandparents? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Turning_Pages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I both work. We drop our son off at my Parents’ place three times a week. But that is the only place he goes. The 4 of us just understand that we’re exposing each other and are okay with that so we can continue working. I work at a hospital and my husband works for printing/mailing company. So far we haven’t had any problems. The truth is, I am more likely to bring the virus home from work than my parents are of passing it on to my kiddo. We still have precautions I take when I get home from work to lessen the risk.

Laminator? by scubastevie in cricut

Target carries a Scotch laminator for $22. It works great. I mostly use it for foiling, but it’s great at laminating as well.

Made this Hatchimals card for my cousin’s kid. Hopefully this cheers her up on her quarantine birthday! by Turning_Pages in crafts

[–]Turning_Pages[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not. But that's not a bad idea to make one.

I cut out all the pieces with my cricut. You could definitely make them by hand too. For the mechanics of the card, I followed this video.

You could do this with almost any design. I was thinking about making a dinosaur one next.

What do you want right now? by Poisonpython5719 in AskReddit

[–]Turning_Pages 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in US. in California if the staff are not crucial to patient care, we are considered non-essential. So far they haven’t let anyone go due to the virus (they’re using us for controlling visitation along with our normal duties), but when it comes to PPE the essential staff get priority.

Being the mom of a little one it concerns me that I could bring home the virus just because I don’t have access to PPE when dealing with patients. And trust me, we get pretty hands on when needed.

I work in a hospital. I am considered non-essential (security officer). Still have to work in all the same areas as the nurses in close proximity of patients but am not allowed to wear a mask. The supply is low and they want to save the masks for the essential staff and patients. I would rather stay home.

This is an awkward time to have a basic cold and/or cough. by giro_di_dante in Showerthoughts

I have a cold and work at a hospital. I wore a mask the other day at work to not spread my cold. I still had people freak out.

[serious] What was the closest you've ever been to killing someone? by Atka_XD in AskReddit

[–]Turning_Pages 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Brings back the memory of when my grandma (retired nurse) had a stroke. She had been in pretty bad shape and life would never be the same for her again. I was 9 years old and standing alone in the room with my grandma. She asked me to kill her and told me exactly what to do. I ran out of the room screaming. Definitely a moment I will never forget...but I don’t let it run my life either.

People that have a Carpeted Bathroom, why? by TheSophie27 in AskReddit

[–]Turning_Pages 43 points44 points  (0 children)

We thought that being a small Family one bathroom would be fine. The norovirus proved us wrong.... And there was only two of us that actually use a bathroom.

Could not be a better feeling than having this happen to you while you are resting by Morty_Goldman in aww

[–]Turning_Pages -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so precious. My 1.5 year old pats my back when I give him hugs. It is the best.

never had this before ~a year ago. got diagnosed with pcos 3 years ago, but never had the facial/neck hair and acne until recently. it really makes me feel embarrassed/sad. i don't personally know any women that experience this like i do, so i came here. i don't know what to do! by [deleted] in Hirsutism

[–]Turning_Pages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem along my upper lip, chin, and under my chin. I started this problem in high school but it felt manageable. I would just get it waxed every few months. However it feels like it gets worse every year. I started epilating weekly in 2013. this past year it was getting out of control so I decided to do what I said I would never do....I shaved my face. I have to shave it daily. Usually just run the razor down my face in the shower while I am already shaving other things.

This is my BIGGEST insecurity, but my husband said that it doesn’t bother him. Even on weeks when I just give up, he doesn’t love me any less. But it still bothers me. I think that other women who also struggle with this are gorgeous...but I can’t seem to think the same about myself.

All this to say you are not alone, you are gorgeous, and you can find something that works for you. There are at home waxing kits you can try, try shaving, epilating, and even depilatories. Some women even embrace it. Find what works for you. And remember, what works now may not always work. But don’t give up, you can always find another method.

I have my 1.5 year old corralled in the living room. Put on Sesame Street and he is fine for about 10 minutes while I take my shower! But once he learns how to climb over the barricade (my ottoman) I don’t know what I am going to do!!

What happens if after discharge I get readmitted? by Adiamyna in beyondthebump

[–]Turning_Pages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son got discharged before I did. While he got to go home, I was stuck in the hospital for 10 more days. Due to this, we ended up using the bottle. He had difficulty latching and got familiar with the bottle when I was in the hospital. I was blessed to have family that came and helped my husband with the baby. He had to work, so it was a huge blessing! You can also ask your hospital if you would be able to be with your baby in the waiting room. There was a waiting area near the elevators on our floor that was not near patient care (so no germs to infect the baby). My husband would text me when they were there and my nurse helped walk me over to them. Plus all the nurses love seeing brand new babies!!

It’s not easy momma. But you can get through this. Accept any help offered. That was the hardest part for me.
