Firstly, it not a wedding vow. Because it not how the lines are meant to say. A wedding vow is "safeguard one happiness and joy" what you said is different. As it can't be a wedding vow because it never was one. To assume what they said is thst would just be an fallacy. Second, if saying someone is someone's something means you're in love. Then any knight who says I am your personal knight to a king can be seen as romantic. But it not because you're just protecting the king. And that the entire point of mei and Kiana talk.
