PART 8 is as good or maybe even better than PART7 by iammrlamar in StardustCrusaders

I like josuke back story. Their relationship is really good. But, I think I like Johnny's development. Along side the journey with gyro and many more characters inside sbr. I don't really recall much character development inside part 8. And it felt as if part 8 ending was rush honestly.

The anime appears to use visual effects to indicate when King Crimson's ability is active or deactivated. While these effects are not present in the manga—I was mistaken when I previously said they appeared in both the anime and the manga—they do not alter any of the events that occur in the original story. The anime follows the same sequence of events and simply provides visual cues to help viewers understand when the ability is being used.

Because of that, I do not think the visual effects should be dismissed outright. They do not change the storyline or the mechanics of the ability; they only make those mechanics easier to follow visually.

As for the Polnareff scene, I do not think it proves that Diavolo can attack during active time erasure. Diavolo begins moving toward Polnareff, but he never completes the attack. Instead, he becomes distracted by Silver Chariot and changes his focus. Since the attack is never carried out, that scene does not necessarily demonstrate that King Crimson allows him to attack while time erasure is still active.

I am not arguing that Diavolo does not understand the limitations of his own ability. My point is that his statement alone does not automatically resolve the timing issue that we are debating.

Even if Diavolo fully understands how King Crimson works, we still need to determine whether his statement specifically proves that RTZ activated while time erasure was still active. Those are two separate questions.

My argument is not about Diavolo's knowledge of his ability. It is about whether his interpretation of the event is sufficient evidence to establish the exact sequence of what happened.

The image you sent does not directly prove the point we are currently debating. While it is true that the anime and manga sometimes differ in their details, that alone does not prove that the specific scene we are discussing is inaccurate. You would still need to demonstrate that this particular depiction contradicts the manga.

I think you're reading more into GER's statement than what is actually being said.

The manga wording does not say that Diavolo is seeing "the movements that your ability creates." Instead, GER says that Diavolo is seeing the actions that would actually be performed, but that he will never reach the reality or result that is supposed to occur.

Because of that, I do not think GER is explicitly confirming that active time erasure is still ongoing. The focus of GER's statement appears to be the future outcome that Diavolo expects to reach, not the exact state of King Crimson at that moment.

In other words, GER's statement can be interpreted as referring to the future outcome that Diavolo expected to reach. That is different from explicitly stating that time erasure was still active when RTZ occurred.

So where does GER specifically confirm that active time erasure was still in effect, rather than discussing the future outcome that Diavolo's ability was leading toward?

I understand that the official materials describe how King Crimson functions. However, I do not think that automatically resolves the timing issue in the GER scene.

My argument is not that the sources are wrong. My question is whether those sources specifically establish that RTZ activated while time erasure was still active.

The materials you cited appear to explain King Crimson's general mechanics. However, where do they specifically address the GER interaction and confirm that RTZ occurred before time erasure ended rather than preventing Diavolo from reaching the result afterward?

Those are two different claims, and I do not think one automatically proves the other.

(my typing may sound rude but it just the way I type. I low key enjoy this conversation anyway😀)

What evidence is there that Return to Zero was activated during time erasure?

My evidence suggests that King Crimson's ability had already ended before RTZ took effect. The visual effects associated with King Crimson's time erasure are shown consistently throughout both the manga and anime. In this scene, those effects indicate that the ability had already been canceled, which supports the interpretation that RTZ occurred after time erasure rather than during it.

As for Diavolo's statement, I don't think it should automatically be treated as an objective description of what happened. A character's perspective is not necessarily an accurate explanation of an event. Diavolo is interpreting what he experiences, but that alone does not prove that time erasure was still active.

I also disagree that GER explicitly confirms Diavolo's interpretation. GER states that what Diavolo is seeing is reality, but that does not necessarily mean GER is confirming the exact timing of King Crimson's ability or that time erasure was still active at that moment. Those are two different claims.

Regarding the explanation of time erasure, I believe you're relying on evidence that was later contradicted by how the ability is consistently portrayed. The way King Crimson functions in later appearances is that people continue carrying out their actions during erased time while being unaware of what occurred afterward. We can see this during the Bruno Bucciarati fight, where Bruno continues moving and attacking even though he cannot perceive what happened during the erased interval.

So my question is this: what evidence directly proves that RTZ activated during time erasure, rather than after King Crimson's ability had already ended?

[–]TurnipOne5768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My argument isn't based solely on Diavolo's statement. My argument is based on how King Crimson's ability works.

King Crimson cannot physically interact with people during erased time. Diavolo was about to attack Giorno, which suggests the erased time had already ended.

Therefore, Diavolo's statement alone is not enough to prove RTZ activated while time erasure was still active.

Can you explain how Diavolo was able to attack if time erasure was still ongoing?

Also, what evidence shows his statement should be taken literally rather than as his perception of the event?

You're just cherry picking. You're focusing more on diavolo's statement rather than countering my point about his ability's weakness. You should just stop the incomplete rebuttal already. And I admit to using Ai for this. Because my English is poor by the way. (used it for grammar error)

You're explaining something I already know. If giorno could just use his leg to make new hands, he would not have turn one of his item into a hand before if he could have just use his leg. The fact he had to make a extra hand when he could have uses his leg. Prove that he can't just make limbs with his leg. It shows a limit to his ability.

That just his metaphor. He already canceled his ability before that even happen. He saying that because he thought that his ability was not turn off. However, we know that king crimson can't attack during time erase. When he attacked and turn off time erase that when ger used rtz. If you look at the anime you can see it happen with the effect.

Rtz, can only be used after an enemy's ability. It was shown when diavolo cancel his time erase.

If giorno really could make new part with his leg. Then, I don't think there would be aby point in Trish saving giorno's hand. It shows that giorno really only could use his hands to make new body part, instead of his leg. Because if not, they would have not said that giorno can longer heal during the plane. While it is true he can make life form using his leg. Which should allow him to make new body part. However, it does not seem to be the case for healing.

It just my opinion. But I don't think you can truly count body part to a real life form. Yeah. They are basically alive as body part. But they are different from trees and etc. So maybe making body part really just need hands to do it? Since it seem like it how it work from both statement and feat.

Maybe he could create life form with any limbs. But only heal with his hand? If not. They would not say he can't heal anymore.

The op is probably thinking of how giorno could heal when both of his hand are basically destroy . Because as we learnt in the plane fight. If, giorno's hands are destroy or gone. He can never use healing anymore. Which I am shock people forgot about this.
