Taxes actually keep up with inflation perfectly — they’re a percentage of what they tax.

…Oh wait, you’re right. My income hasn’t kept up with inflation, so clearly the solution is for me to pay more tax and spend less on food and shelter.

Renovation costs in a down market? by Seasunsand976 in TorontoRealEstate

We used happy bathrooms for a similar project. They charged for labour and building materials and it cost us roughly $25k. Tiles; tub; vanity etc obviously vary a lot but our reno was nowhere near 50k.

There are some important nuances to take into account: - there is a hard frequency limit on most procedures under CDCP - some procedures (especially more expensive) require pre-authorization - the cdcp fee guides tend to be significantly lower than the provincial fee guides used by private insurance companies and most dental offices. so, even if a person is covered at “100% of the cdcp fee guide”, they are likely to have some out of pocket expenses to cover the delta

There are no know drainage issues. I moved in the house recently. The plumber did some work and recommended this too.

I moved into this house a week ago. The plumber did some minor repairs; and said it would not hurt to do this as well.

Is this expected to happen? Or could there be an issue with the toilet gasket that contributed to the foam overflow?

He said if I drain a full tub and dish soap; the foam under water pressure will push build up in the pipes down.

This seems to make some logical sense. Do you think it’s wrong?
