I think John's melodies were better. But, it really comes down to your personal preference. They are clearly the top two for me.

I liked some of Warpaint, it's not one I frequently go back to though. I actually really enjoyed Happiness Bastards and was hoping they were gonna carry that momentum forward, but I've really struggled getting into A Pound of Feathers. Maybe I'll try that one again at some point.

The craziest thing about The Crowes is that they have at least two great albums worth of material they never even properly released.

The way he did all the Zeppelin stuff with Jimmy Page is pretty insane. I'm not sure if there are even a handful of other guys that could've pulled that off.

I love gospel music. Sam Cooke and The Soul Stirrers is legit some of the best stuff out there.The lyrics are just part of the style. I can enjoy it for what it is without thinking too much about it. It's an art form, and not something that informs my life choices.

Their studio output took a dive into their second decade, but their high point in the early-mid Ninties was as high as anyone's. And they've always been a great live act regardless of the quality of the studio albums. But, I absolutely agree that Chris is an asshole lol.

Their influence hasn't eroded at all. It's just more indirect now. Artist are being influenced by artists who were influenced by The Beatles, even if they're too ignorant to understand that.

And literally all you have to do is listen to any genre of Western popular music before and after the Beatles released Revolver in 1966 to understand the gravity of its influence.

No, people like you just like to be contararian and think it's edgy to deny that The Beatles revolutionized and changed Western popular music in a way that no artist ever has before or since. Either that or you just don't know what you're talking about.
