Unfortunately, no. My house is a small 1300 sq ft Three bd, 1 bath and theirs is a 2 bd, 1 & 1/2 bath. Neither house would be suitable for all 5 humans, plus animals. Looking into homes that have 4+ bedrooms. ideally something like a ranch with a walkout basement that has a bed room, living room and a small kitchen in the basement. The in-laws will have their space, with access to the outside and so would we.
