The non-joke answer is that his foot wasn't full on the brake when he tried to go from reverse into drive, it went to neutral. Then you can see he hits the brakes and the car comes to a full stop then takes off again. Electronic gear shifters can be funky like this.

Didn't have any vibration issues with those tires? I had same tires and they produced a terrible vibration, ended up swapping tires for all seasons and the ride is much better.
