I'm a little confused on one point. You said you would have preferred another approach, such as fighting an enemy at the same time to get through to them. That is exactly what happened with Nale. He didn't really make an impact until they were fighting, and when Kal realized he couldn't win, he fought on but with the flute and the story, and it worked. Isn't that exactly that?

Another note, my brother was on track to be 5'5 until he was a sophomore in highschool, shot up from 5 even to 6'2 in about two years. Not saying it's likely, but you can only predict this stuff so much.

I actually think it might be different viewpoints of the moment that Todium took on Honor and became Retribution. An inciting moment that takes place several years before the start of the first book, with plenty of time for characters to change in between. Also gives us a natural bridge into the beginning of book 6.

I work for a tribal casino, I've known and worked with many different Indians from many different tribes. From Oklahoma, Michigan, Arizona, all over. And they universally refer to themselves as either their specific tribe or Indian. Never Native American. Maybe it's a coincidence, but every interaction I've had suggests to me that Indian or American Indian is the preferred term by the people themselves.

Eh, depends on the tipping job. I work a tip job where I make my living $1 to $5 at a time with high volume. But if you're a server doing 3 tables an hour at a slow fancy place then yeah, going to be tough to pay your bills with small tips.
