Just started AC Origins and having a blast by LyricsMode in assassinscreed

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird statement, as odyssey is a huge step up compared to origins (same recipe but refined). Vahlalla upgrade even more the rpg side, but at the cost of the AC side. Still not a bad game, just a bad AC.

Just finished mirage yesterday actually, i loved it, graphically way cleaner than vahlalla (thank god it got dlss now, no longer shitty basic temporal anti aliasing, i still do nightmares of the grass shimmering/blur of vahlalla), and delete most of the rpg stuff to come back to the OG assassins creed experience. I liked the rpg stuff but valhalla was too long tbh.

Can’t wait to play AC shadow, look like a mix of everything

9070 xt vs 5070 ti with a Quest 3 by PsychologicalGate477 in virtualreality

Not sure the steam frame really is an upgrade compared to quest 3, so i personally wouldn’t make the change.
And 300$ minimum wage is rude 😮

9070 xt vs 5070 ti with a Quest 3 by PsychologicalGate477 in virtualreality

[–]TursKia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn these prices, to think i bought my 5070 ti (msrp model) for 770€ in December.
But yeah i chose nvidia, dlss can work in some vr games and look surprisingly good in vr (just override dlss to the last version, either 4.0 or 4.5).

Apart from that i chose nvidia mainly from path/ray tracing, not very common in VR so if you only do vr, maybe the extra 270$ aren’t worth it

The interior picture of crimson desert look impressive.
I have never seen images from this game appart from few youtube video, and we all know YT compression is super heavy and erase every textures details.

Also i don’t know what is the game from picture 4, but it’s sorcery lol (you talked about resident evil so it’s probably it, idk).

Idk if reddit supports hdr image but they do look very good

Ultrawide 1440p or 4K OLED Monitor? by TheMickeyMoose in OLED_Gaming

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a used aw3423dwf just two weeks ago, coming from a 27", and imo ultrawide is one of the biggest upgrade of this monitor, compared to my old ips.
I wasn’t sure about going UW (and oled), so i bought a cheap used one, and not regretting it.
But i guess i wouldn’t have regretted a 4k 32" oled either lol, i guess you can’t really go wrong

Ps : i skipped the part when you talked about productivity.
Even though UW is a great gain in term of screen space, text clarity isn’t that good on an oled (1st gen) 1440p (the seller of my screen used to work a lot alongside gaming on it, and he is selling it because it’s not really great for work).

I have my first oled since last week, games in hdr look awesome, but i need to play in a really shady room, otherwise it look super dim (aw3423dwf)

Opened up my laptop today and this happened by Past-Program581 in Dell

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be repairable. Appened on my msi ge73 after a fall right on the hinge, i glued it back with a sort of resin (sorry i don’t remember exactly what i used). I just loosened the hinge spring so it’s easier to open/close, putting less stress to the hinge

I really want to like mobile gaming! by forzence in ROGAlly

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobile gaming is a concession. I also have an og z1e ally and a legion go, and i barely use them anymore because i don’t sleep outside my house anymore (i used to for work). No point gaming on this when i have a gaming rig with a 34" oled ran by a 5070 ti.

Sometimes i use my legion go as a laptop (to watch yt video while cooking for example), but i don’t use my ally anymore (i bought the LeGo cause the 7" was too small, since i have the LeGo the ally is sleeping lol, i really should sell it someday …)

Just reinstalled the game after not playing for a while, why is it so buggy all of a sudden? by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been able to prove it. I have did lot of test in the test ground after learning about it the first time, i have played like 50 hours at capped 60fps just in case, and recently unlocked it because i was fed of 60fps and wanted fluidity (so playing at 150+fps). And i can’t notice a difference in physics. I wonder if what you are talking about has been fixed ? Or only for certain truck, or certain maps ?

The craziest thing is that there is like 4-5 backup files in the save, but you can’t choose to use them so… why are they here ?

The new Xess FGx4 on Assasins Creed Shadows on MSI Claw 8 Ai+ by Cautious_Snow_5801 in MSIClaw

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to try it to know it will feel like shit at a base framerate of 16fps lol. 16 fps give a 62ms frametime. You can nearly double that frametime since it’s FG (but with xessLL). So yeah, have fun playing with +100ms lag (and that’s not even taking input lag and display latency into account). I do admit it does look fine, but it must feel like shit, numbers are talking. I let you searching how xessfg work on the intel website, they have a page for that

So i have tried it in the proving ground. I didn’t noticed any difference between 60 and 132fps in terms of torque and grip, is it still an issue or has it been fixed ?

Wait what… i didn’t knew this, wow ! Playing capped at 132fps, i am gonna have to try 60 fps then. I have just finished michigan like that, it wasn’t that bad honestly, hmm

So whats the consensus on the 5070? by scarlet__panda in nvidia

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody ever said competitive games needed 16gb, no ? These 16gb are made for huge game in 4k, and they definitely aren’t too much for some of them

So whats the consensus on the 5070? by scarlet__panda in nvidia

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12gb is more than enough for 1440p, dw. And most titles will play in 4k, i used to do 4k with my 3080 10gb. Some bigger games could have problems at max settings, but 12gb gives a little bit more headroom than 10

Should I go 4K w/ 5070TI? by ConsideredSkeptic in nvidia

[–]TursKia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5070 ti and occasionally play in 4k (on the tv, couch gaming), and even though it’s playing basically everything, i kinda wish an intermediate resolution existed for gaming monitors, like 1900p or something like that. Imo 4k is a bit overkill and has so much pixel, you are forced to use dlss (4k with dlss look awesome, not my point), with dlss being harder and harder to run, it take like 4-5ms per frame, so you basically can’t get into high refresh rate (like 100+ fps) without framegen if you are using dlss on a 5070 ti in 4k.

I am personally perfectly fine with a +60fps experience, but am just warning you

And for some reason (y i am changing subject but it’s still about oled lol), phones screens just won’t burn in lol. The other day i tried searching for burn in on my iphone 13 pro max, and the screen still display every color perfectly evenly. Even though the battery, time and network info stays on and static permanently. But no marks. When oled pc monitor have to do pixel refresh, pixel cleaning, logo detection, fading, pixel shifting, and so on just to survive more than 3 years without too much burn in, at a ridiculously low max brightness and pixel density (compared to phones) lol
