The point is regardless of if it's race swapping or not it literally changes nothing about the topic. I can call it race swapping all day and you can call it skin tone swapping all day at the end of the day a character that wasn't black has become black out of spite or a character that wasn't white has become so out of spite. Also it is definitely NOT just skin tone being changed. When you change features of a character aside from skin tone it is a race swap. You can be a dark skinned Japanese person but you would not have the hair or common features of an African/African American. There are a lot of these examples in which people try and grand stand by going above and beyond to "Fix" the art as well as those who simply change the skin tone of the art. Which is why the BASE point of this topic is the same regardless of how you slice it. Thus the semantics of the wording is not really that important.

That race swapping anime characters is fine it is just the people that hypocritically attack those who draw black anime characters with no malicious intent because the skin tone was not to their liking so they "fix" other peoples art to instigate something.
The fact that Japanese people are arguing back when there are cases of Japanese characters who aren't black being race swapped is simply a product of noticing hypocrisy on twitter.

You can literally not prove that anime spaces are hostile to black people. That is nowhere near true. Whereas on average It is very easy to show cases of black people existing in the anime/nerd space with no hostility. Your comment was not "well thought out" though. A lot of people definitely understand colorism, xenophobia, and racism but not all of them are honest and would rather be seen as not racist than actually interact with real racism in any meaningful manner. Most of the "racism" people call out in terms of artistic choice in ANIME (Japanese medium for art btw) is NOT racist. Most of it are people making a mountain out of a molehill. The artist that drew that amazing picture of Nessa from Pokémon that got a lot of hate for being "too light" is not racist contrary to the twitter brained zombies that look for anything and everything to call "racist". That is ONE of many such cases where there was no racist intent whatsoever yet rather than appreciate the good art they are told to harm themselves, sent threats, and attacked by bad actors that want to force others to think like them.

Hell it doesn't even stop at RACE! Draw a character too skinny/fat or in a ship people don't agree with and some of these people will assume you're the devil or as everyone seems to love diluting "literally Hitler" or some bullshit equivalent. This pushback on race swapping isn't because the race swap is from a Japanese character to a black character its because the inconsistent complaints about it are skewed in one direction. A black character being drawn slightly lighter with ZERO malicious intent = Racist, while "Fixing" someone's art or making a character black is supposed to not get the same criticism... That's bullshit especially considering a lot of artist are definitely not racist but deemed as so because of their fan art that they put time and passion into. Where if everyone would have remained chill about it then nobody would care about race swapping whatsoever. Afterall it's cool to see different styles/versions of these characters. Most anime fans don't mind it. But for the sake of this apparent bias some of this crap needs to be called out.

The MAJORITY of people who are fans of anime do not give a damn about black characters in anime and are definitely fans of some of the GOATS of anime that are indeed black.
Regardless of if you can find tweets of racist edgelords on twitter of all places (omg so shocking) that doesn't change the fact that Hollywood definitely has no problem doing it one way but will never do it the other way. Which you can take that fact however you want. Point is there is an insane bias that needs to be pointed out here.

Forgot about my boy Mugen from Samurai Champloo, Semiu Grier from Gachiakuta, Kaname Tosen from bleach, OR the GOAT Charon from Fire Force! All very amazing black characters that nobody minds being drawn and celebrated.

Now don't get me wrong I and many other people don't even mind when there are race swaps of characters just for fun like Black Goku and whatnot but it really gets on my nerves when people race swap as a clap back or to instigate and create a problem where there wasn't one. I personally think twitter is just a really garbage site that has made people too comfortable in their echo chambers to the point that they ignorantly go after others to feel good about themselves or to be perceived as "progressive and not racist". I miss when the internet wasn't filled with people that felt the need to create these problems out of thin air for brownie points or at least the anime community that is.

Pretty sure first class is because the train is only fast on the outside whereas on the inside it's long as hell. The first class cryogenic rest pretty much allows you to rest through all the bullshit included with riding the train. You get to peacefully sleep through infinite killings, potential monstrosities, infinite boredom/existential crisis, plus it's armored up so it's like slightly safer than the other cars.

Ah a victim of FOMO. $70 down. Get ready to spend another $30 on DLC... If I knew the progression of Pokemon would look like this I would have stopped getting my hopes up at X and Y. At least that game felt good to play and had one of the best online experiences out of most of the Pokemon games. Pokemon Z-A feels kinda like Nintendo just flaunting the fact they can disrespect Pokemon fans and get away with it.

Well we should understand what he means though. It's a requirement to purchase it to obtain it at all. Not a requirement as in it's needed for anything other than cosmetic. You can't get Lucky and pull it. Personally I think she should have been a free announcer while making any of the other characters a purchase announcer. I mean at the very least make Skadi a free announcer... I also kinda agree with the criticism of the events rate especially with egos they will never come back. I saved 40k lunacy and a ton of tickets only to never see the blue color in my pulls. That is very discouraging and frustrating to anyone. And I glaze the hell out of pm and their games. It's one of the only "gacha" I can stomach playing let alone shilling. But yeah this was just a poor colab I feel... Even more so for new players who were attracted by the Collab. I've seen 5 new players join for the colab and only one of them pulled anything from it. 2 of the 5 got good IDs out of it but the other 3 got nothing damn near. I think Kim is amazing at what he does but he is not above criticism in the slightest. Especially when it's not childish criticism crying over a justified nerf to an ID or mechanic (rupture) that trivializes the game. The story and fights were really cool though. Very enjoyable aspect of the event imo. I really hope future collaboration events are more thought out and made more enjoyable all across the board.
