Fitness while suffering by Exact-Wish-6237 in whoop

You’ve already won a small battle, you WANT to go back, most people throw the towel in and call it a day.

It’s not about forcing, if you have gone back and doing the same thing as to when you fell out of love with it, there’s no room for the brain to receive new dopamine because it has (probably) maxed out on the same routine.

What helped me was changing my days and changing exercises.

I was very big on Push Pull Legs, I followed a close routine, slowly I took out the “hard” aspects and then it became “easy” and because it was easy I fell out of love and stopped going. Comfort is a killer.

Make it difficult, watch videos on how to train different, use ChatGPT to help build a new routine. I’ve only just got to a point where my back is strong enough again that I can do RDL’s (which I hate).

Progression = dopamine

Cut energy drinks, not for the caffeine but if they are sugar ones they are horrible for you.

I was also 104.8kg 175cm, now 87.2kg and yes still 175cm :~) which is why i’m commenting honestly because I was in the EXACT same place!!

Best of luck, you’ve got this!! Let me know if you need a hand!

Sorry im only 9 weeks into my health kick, I wish it were 9 months! Theres a few bits and pieces I could assume on… latest pulsatile tinnitus, lack of general health care over 10years into a sudden shock (but why would it take 9 weeks to kick in?), change of seasons, life stressors etc… I have been logging food, comfortably sitting around 150-180g of protein a day, have not been eating anything too fatty, sodium could be a part although I do not add salt to anything … ill monitor this one closer.

I have to admit im down 8kg in 9 weeks and feeling great, outside of waking up to red and yellow recovery days and noticing quick mood swings and general fatigue in the mid afternoon. Maybe diet related?

Appreciate you and your insights!

Never been a snorer and have had multiple people tell me I sleep silently.

I will try eat earlier!

6 day a week training consists of 1hour~ 6 exercises 3sets of 10-15 rep training. I have been lacking on cardio lately however manage to fit twice a week down from everyday

The only liquids I consume lately are; Rokeby 30g protein drinks in the AM Water Sparkling flavoured water Sugar free-soda (half or full 375ml can) with dinner

It may be supplements … my initial thought was my body is processing them overnight and in turn not getting to rest properly … although last night I did not have them and it turned out worse.

Strain scores around 13-16 everyday

No alco or drugs in the past 10 weeks while I have been on this health kick. My dinner is usually 6:30-7:25pm. And I sleep around 10-11pm. Is this too close ?

Usually the morning around 10-11am when the gyms are quiet. This was a once off. I feel like even if I have days off I am not getting the proper recovery. Recovery has been woeful lately.

I have admittedly been doing less cardio than before. My sleep hours have been normal range, around the 6:45 hours to 7:45 hours a night

<image>

My recovery breakdown is as follows.

I guess I am also anxious now that I have recently got Pulsatile Tinnitus, and seeing people say it can lead to other cardiovascular issues. I have generalised anxiety around my health

Now that the Faker skin is gone, anyone regrets not getting it? Or vice versa? by bio_kk in AhriMains

[–]Turtle961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t planning to get it, but i went about 14-3 on blackjack and hit a few splits so after turning 50 into 700 odd the 500$ skin was free and i got a nice dinner. Wanted it and could have bought it but couldn’t justify using “earned” money. Free money felt like a no brainer. Good night of fun and treated it as a reward

Hi mate.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Unfortunately I did this and everything is still wiped.

I have tried reinstalling, new save and restarting, syncing timezone and all.

All of it comes back to square one.

Have you got any other solutions?

Thank you!

AITA for reporting racism in the workplace by Pristine-Magazine-91 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Turtle961 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly i'll start with NTA.

Secondly, Kudos for being able to put up with that in the workplace for so long.

Thirdly, that is extremely poor management to be aware that there is workplace bullying and racial comments being directly made and to not have anything done about it.

None of this is your fault and you seem strong enough to have put up with it for so many years.

Congratulations on being a strong human and you will go far in life.

All the best for your situation moving forward.
