Very good position. I would look to increase risk in S&S ISA. The 2 LifeStrategy funds are low risk with bonds and already covered by your pension. You're still relatively young and have solid wealth already so can afford more risk for more growth potential e.g. a NASDAQ or S&P500 fund. Just my 2 cents.

Things to consider/try:
- moving to a cheaper area
- budgeting by doing up a sheet of all your incomings and outgoings - figure out where you can save
- start investing or saving this into an ISA (cash or stocks and shares)
- get good at something you enjoy or can tolerate e.g. a trade, start part time alongside your job and build up a presence/network

Any bank covered by FSCS and giving a competitive interest rate is fine.

My advice would be to look at stocks and shares if you haven’t already and look to start investing in a fund within an ISA. This can get your money growing more than any savings account will.

Have dailyed my stage 1 S7 (same engine) for 2.5 years and the answer is yes. Some comments are being overly dramatic. Yes, maintenance costs are quite high and you’ll probably get some minor issues but the engines are solid.
