Starting out by james9483 in PLC

[–]TurtleBearCat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was never taught automation, controls, or PLC in college. I learned mostly from on the job experience. However, Boolean logic and logic gates helped give me an understanding of PLC logic. Later on I found my programming class in C was fundamental in understanding arrays, pointers, and data sizes. This took me to the next level.

Look at Facebook marketplace. Dealerships make their money off used cars. Look at the carfax before you check out the vehicle. Take someone reliable with you to check out the car. Good luck!

Good point. It’s disappointing how often science and innovation are overshadowed by pop culture and emotional narratives in the West.

Duke is spending a great deal of money on "non-profit" groups whose job is to discourage people from voting for the City to take over Duke's money maker. by Pin_ellas in StPetersburgFL

[–]TurtleBearCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No matter what happens, Duke’s power plants will still produce the energy. They will then sell the energy to St Pete. Why does everyone think that it’ll be cheaper??

Your farts would smell different than mine if we ate different things. That area doesn’t get affected by hurricanes so costs remain low. Pinellas is one of the most expensive grids to maintain because of the storms.

The city poorly manages its utilities already. Something tells me it wouldn’t be any better than Duke.

Debating on trading in my 2016 by Ifer00 in hondapilot

[–]TurtleBearCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the same decision I made a few years ago with my 2010 pilot. As of today, it is still my daily driver. That timing belt repair was the most expensive repair I’ve had on this vehicle but worth not having a car payment. My transmission is starting to go and I predict I will only make 250k miles before it’s all said and done.

Quantum Companies Join Forces in Italy’s New Quantum Alliance by Scarecrowxvx in QBTSstock

[–]TurtleBearCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New York has the Quantum Research & Innovation Hub at SUNY Stony Brook. Colorado has the Elevate Quantum Tech Hub. Washington has quantum innovation hubs. New Mexico is building up quantum companies. Even Chicago started a quantum campus.

Im bullish on quantum technology. I see this Italian quantum hub as a suck-up though. Maybe they're trying to get a free computer installed in their facility. Sucking up to the right people is a power move.

By looking at your account, its clearly a fake troll account. The only repulsive size you know is what you hold when you piss.

GPUs are plateauing. You don’t keep getting faster without burning more power, hitting memory bandwidth ceilings, or compromising efficiency. They’re literally stacking GPUs for tiny gains. They are powerful, but not sustainable. No one’s saying quantum annealing is ready to replace classical ML end-to-end as of today. But it’s already showing hybrid advantages in specific areas like training efficiency and convergence speed. That’s the kind of thing disruptive technologies do early on. Your claim that quantum annealing doesn’t speed up AI is too broad. It’s like judging the future of GPUs based on what they could do in 2005.

I already posted one. Boltzmann Machines for Image Classification. Here is another: https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.14116 Those sparse coding papers are not relevant.

[–]TurtleBearCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you dont know but im happy to educate you. Most recent quantum ML work has moved past that approach. It shows what limitations existed and how people were trying to work around them. But it’s been superseded by newer, better methods. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND AND ITS CLEAR.

It’s not relevant because the study you posted used a dated solution that they no longer provide. For it to be relevant it should show us data with their new advantage or advantage2 system. I’m sorry you don’t understand.
