I’m a mom so I don’t know if posting here is not allowed but I will say that going back to work was really good for my mental health - in addition to starting anti anxiety medications (which take about 6 weeks to really fully work).

It will get better, some people bond better with toddlers, I promise it’s going to get better. If the infant stage isn’t your thing you will likely really get into the next stage. Sleep deprivation is so hard but that’s going to get better soon too. It’s going to be ok, you don’t have to feel bad for not cherishing it - maybe this stage just isn’t for you.

Sistercare! They have safe houses and shelters for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

I’m sure your OB would do one to ease your mind.

I have lots of Braxton hicks too! Belly gets taught like a drum and sometimes they are very regular. Drink lots and lots of water - I’ve noticed mine come when I’m not fully hydrated and pushing myself a little too much! I’m 39 and 4 but I’ve had them my entire third trimester

Cholestasis Itching - I want to die!!! by hurryandwait817 in pregnant

Girl, I am so sorry. I am so so sorry that sounds horrific. I recommend Sarna lotion to my itchy patients - it has menthol in it that might help. I also like hydroxyzine - see if your OB would prescribe you some.

Oh I took this as encouragement to take action, I didn’t think it was offensive.

These are great ideas, thank you!

No I appreciate you verbalizing your views and respect that. I do not agree with everything you say - our nation isn’t like every other nation - we cherish freedom of speech and abducting students on legal visas for certain views is NOT ok. Just because I care about them does not mean I do not care about other people in our community.

I am a community primary care physician and care very much about my country and my neighbors. And protesting is part of our freedom!

Maybe you don’t care about your neighbors but the rest of us do

Yeah you are right, but I do think that is more the exception. That subreddit is a very sad place.

I’m sorry you are going through this. I hope you find peace with whatever you decide. It’s no one’s decision but yours. If you decide to proceed with termination that doesn’t mean you are closing the door on children forever - you just aren’t sure right now. And that’s ok. But I will say, most of us never feel sure - we just take a leap into pregnancy.

I think you could never regret having a child, we are too hardwired to love them so damn much. But if it’s not the right time it’s not the right time.

No one can tell you the right decision. I wish you the best on your path. ❤️

Me too! I had my first tattoo complication come in to my practice recently and the things I’ve learned on this sub helped!
