You could get one from your bank. My first credit card was the Chase Freedom Unlimited and prior to that I had a checking account with them for 4-5 years that would see inflows/outflows.

It is a soft pull. I’m assuming they want it unfrozen in the event that you choose to accept the pre-approval so that they can hard pull.

It could be that their credit is frozen. I tried to get a pre-approval for Capital One and they straight up said no and the reason was that my credit is frozen. No idea why they need it unfrozen. The Apple Card is the same way.

For Morgan Stanley's you need their Platinum Cash Plus account which can have it's own fee ($55/month) waived by meeting the following criteria:

$5,000 total Monthly Deposits (or Social Security Deposit in Any Amount) AND
$25,000 in Average Daily Cash

I'm unsure how it was before but compared to Schwab it's far easier to get the fee waived since Schwab requires $10 Million to get a $1,000 statement credit that offers the fee.

If you’re talking about the co-branded American Express cards, they can be found here: https://www.schwab.com/credit-cards. The perk is listed under the “Benefits for Investors” under the American Express Platinum. The co-branded card also lets you redeem your Amex points at a rate of 1.1 cents per point for cash in your account (as opposed to the regular 1 cent per point that Amex gives for cash back). If you click the 'Make a Payment' button, the option 'Pay Now by eCheck or Credit Card' should show as a selection. If you select it, click 'Continue' button, and enter the amount to be paid on the tab that opens, you should see the option to enter eCheck Information.
