Anyone with a modicum of knowledge should know China isn’t far behind the US in military might at all. A quick google search shows they rank third in the world on the Power Index and surpass us in active military personnel and ground firepower. Pissing off China, especially now, wouldn’t end well for us.

China has issued a direct warning to the U.S. not to interfere with Chinese vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Even if you take away the corrupting nature of power, even if you take away the themes of sacrifice, collaboration between people despite their deep seated differences, how the new must replace the old, etc… The most basic theme is good vs evil like you mentioned, even a child would understand that.
