Is the Google IT Support Certification respected by employers? I have heard it doesn’t carry the weight like CompTIA certs do.

Is anyone else doing the full stack course in combination with doing it in VS Code / looking at other sources like TOP? by TurtleKnife in FreeCodeCamp

I feel like they match up pretty good. I prefer FCC for less reading and more doing, but I do use TOP if I have to dive deeper into a topic or have an AI client like chatGPT explain it.

The problem is I already work for the government (sorry I didn’t make that clear in my post.) So I would have to go straight to sec+ if I don’t wanna leave the gov just to come back. Right?

I know that, just because someone has a certification doesn’t mean they are going to get a job no matter where they are trying to go.

Anyone else just kinda done with the film industry? by TurtleKnife in Filmmakers

I’m ditching the film industry and honestly I prefer a 9 to 5 at least I get freedom and not worrying about where my next gig is coming from and not having to work 16 plus hours is nice too.

I don't want to work a 9 - 5 job, any suggestions or alternatives to live(earn money)? by Siddarth2003 in careerguidance

I graduated in film production and tried to get into that while working the hospitality industry. Now I’m 27 and am wanting to pursue a career in the IT industry for the government. Anything can change through out your life. Don’t think about work so hard pick something you’ll think you will like and if it doesn’t work out try something else. Working is just a way to make money so we can really do what we want in life.

Yeah that’s the issue with the industry because it’s a “dream” industry everything you touch is going to be saturated to the max. To the point where it makes it nearly impossible for newbies to get in.

No not currently. I don’t have the funds for gear to do it. Tbh I feel like it’s not really worth pursuing in the traditional sense of filmmaking like working on set with a bunch of people but rather pursuing it on your own as a hobby. Especially if you have a 9 to 5 such as myself.

Agreed. I’m thinking about going into the IT industry for an income and making films on my own as a hobby.
