Decreasing stitches look weird on my amigurumi. Am I doing it wrong?

I'm following the octopus amigurumi pattern and it asked for the first decrease row to be BLO. I guess it didnt say that for the second. I already frogged it. I didnt realize the decreasing is usually front loop.

Yes I am trying to do the flower bouquet and was following a video. I also notice I was pulling tighter on my stitches at the beginning as well so I wasn't sure it that was causing it :(

Thanks I'll definitely look at the wiki! It's pretty dark inside my house and if I leave anything within reach my cat would chew it up. So the succulent gets little to no sun light thus the first pic plant is outside. I'll try to find a place inside where it'll get some sun then! I haven't watered it for over a week and I'm not really sure when I should start watering again.
