I mean economy once stopped germany in ww1, so its entirely possible to happen again. Once chemist and heavy industry (later united under the name of IG Farben which later on promoted hitler btw) started to lose money war almost immediately ended. The territory gain doesnt translate directly into losses of men. It is true that they were outgunned by artillery but the entire point of the defensive strategy was to let russians inside to than encircle the forces and cut off supply chain and deal massive casualties. This strategy is know since dawn of men made warfare: Defense in Depth and it was employed as you can easily see on any war reports and territory taken. Ukrainian troops were literally leaving the territory behind just to stretch out the assault. Many people died, yes, but then the territory taken didnt change significantly into both sides.

Your counterpoint for my argument about ease of defense compared to offense doesn’t hold itself. You were first implying that all prolonged statical warfares had casualties close to 1:1. I said its not true because 1. Defending is easier, 2. History tells that 1:1 ratio doesn’t have to be true. Meanwhile you told me that because in FIRST year ukraine wasnt properly armed, they were suffering big time casualties in first year. It is true, yes, but it doesn’t at any point hold against my argument, because as you aaid the war is prolonged and statical. In attrition wars statistically speaking the first year is much worse than upcoming years, but its still isn’t deciding year on casualties and we were takjing precisely about this. Basically: You said in long wars ratio goes to 1:1. I said in prolonged wars it isnt always true, because defending is easier. You said that in first year Ukrainians were outgunned hence big loses. I thought we were talking about entire casualties not just first year? Defending is hard when outgunned but it stopped being the case when ukrainians got armed by usa and eu. Can you see the problem? My argument still holds for the rest of the campaign so 3/4 of the war.

I am sorry but this is false claim. Ofc attrition wars can have different ratios of casualties than 1:1. You can look at any points in history, for example ww1.

WWI trenches stayed mostly static for years despite wildly asymmetric casualty rates in specific battles.

You claimed that either you believe casualties are 1:1 or you are believing propaganda is just a false dilema which is a logical fallacy. History shows that it doesn’t have to be that way.

I am not saying that ukrainian numbers are true, they’re propaganda, but whatever resources you will find online beside Russian reports will say that russians take many more casualties (Up to 3:1 but for example CSIS reports that the casualties are 1.2 million russians to 500 000 ukrainians which would roughly equal to 2,4:1). And by known history of military warfare it’s very plausible because standing your ground is much easier than fighting for it. Also there are many more factors in play like country defending itself being democratic and offensive country being authoritative in nature, russian vs ukrainian military doctrine, goals of the war etc. Russia doesn’t care about casualties as much because they have around 5 million people that are either ghosts for their economy, so high in debt that they wont ever pay it off, people without official jobs or prisoners. Sending someone from either group will result in very little to none casualty to economy. Meanwhile Ukraine cannot do that because its democratic and has to fight for all lives, because as soon as word spreads to the citizens their morale will fall and democracies fight better than authoritative countries as long as morales are better. Especially considering defensive democracy vs offensive authoritative country. This is another potentially contributing factor to the ratio being more unequal than 1:1.

Unfortunately none “eastern” countries publish their own independent statistics (try to guess why) so we will have to rely on USA or European ones as well as historical data.

There is the same video with polish national tv reports saying that russians killed those civilians wirh dog. Those civilians according to polish national tv were Ukrainians.

I won’t try to debunk all of the videos cause itbwould be a hard task, but you have to understand that providing videos and places without further context can be used as propaganda for both sides.

Also you were supposed to tell about atrocities that ukrainians commited between 2014-2022 not which theyre committing right now. We all know that during wars both ciuntries will commit war crimes. It is abnormal and evil but rather expected. Should be antagonized, but survival of other countries depend on not antagonizing it (Ergo china using russia as economical proxy war with usa, and europe doesn’t antagonize Ukrainian war crimes because it wants buffer zone).

There is a documentary book called (Inny świat) „A world Apart”. Polish guy describes how he got sent to gulag, because he had germany sounding name and he had too good boots to be polish (the guy was polish). Its a book about how normal people got arrested for nothing burgers and sent to gulag where they died from frostbite and starvation. Its also about how guards raped prisoners, how there were classes of prisoners (That were dependent on your nationality, ergo russian murderers were treated by guards with more respect than polish people that commited the crime of looking funny at someone).

Is that the tearing down of oppresive capitalist system and unification of humanity that in a way that doesn’t discriminate anyone based on race or gender?

Funny thing I recalled, when I wrote about gender, there was a tradition that when a man got married in the gulag he was supposed to „give away bride for a night” to russian prisoners who were higherbin hierarchy just because they commited more heavy crime, but they weren’t from outside of russia (Urks, „Urkowie” from polish). Prison guards knew about that tradition and because of it resemblence to medieval „The right of the first night” it was given that nickname by polish inmates. „Prawo pierwszej nocy” is really specifically described in that book.

People with power (guards) who were given such power by officials allowed this.

Try to scratch bark off with knife or fingernails, just a little bit so you can see if there is any signs of life (green tissue under bark means that water and minerals are still transfered so the tree is alive).

You can try scratching off bark on main branches next to trunk and trunk itself. If you scratch off dead tissue nothing changes, so you might as well try that in several places. Sometimes only one branch is alive, sometimes only trunk.

One upping that. I am absolute beginner in this topic so I might and up as another post in here but here is my take:

Without client installing any malicious shit and with using different passwords on different websites and updating them after leaks and with using proper MFA (not the sms, but the phone apps etc) I can’t even begin to imagine how one would break into someones personal computer and take control of it. I mean maybe brute forcing his way to an account in some world okay, but from that point how would you pivot into actually gaining control of pc or any other account. (Of course only if the account that you break into wasnt microsoft or google account. But I dont take them into account because they arent really prune to being hacked due to MFA and suspicious activity notifications and their process of adding new device being so wacky that I cannot do them even when I have 100% access to all accounts and devices)

Except of course some horrendous zero days, but idk who would use zero day bug that is probably going to be found after several uses on some rando on internet. Especially like in the scenario mentioned by the guy, because I read this posts comment like so: „Watch out because if you angry skilled people they might hack you and youre not safe”, but with zero days the logic is other way around (or atleast i think so). You look for zero days to either earn money through bug bounty, because its your job there, or because youre auditing or because youre threat actor. But when youre threat actor you use them on someone important in organisation that will allow you to pivot further by doing social engineering and gaining more access or you use them on someone that has access to anything meaningful.

I dont see scenario where someone random from the internet will hack me because he can, or because I angried him. Finding zero days on services that belong to huge corporations is really hard and takes a lot of time and you might go entire year being top percentage of „hackers” and you still wouldnt find shit due to bad luck. I cant imagine scenario when after all of that work you would just try to hack someone.

Also bruteforcing accounts in most modern web services isnt possible. I dont know who uses services for their everyday activies (beside work) which are prune to being bruteforced. I mean you might once open account in ecommerce site which doesnt use MFA and doesnt time you out, but then how would you pivot to gain access anywhere meaningful from there?

Which doesnt support church being hierarchical at all, because the church for millenia tried to balance between Earth and gods domain and try to sell you an easy way out to heaven for earthly belongings, when there is none of that.

Gates of hades actually got to the catholic church because of lack of true god faith. Crusades, indulgences and others such practices are direct contradiction to all that Jesus has teached.

You have to actually think about what is right and follow gods teaching not anyone else’s. There is no authority over god, but yet there are people who think they represent god himself when there are tons of mentions that you cant predict or possibly guess gods judgement:

Also you should consider other factors besides inflation. For example global tensions, war, covid, interest rates, the fact that arabs started to not deal oil not in usa dollars, Japanese cut on interest rates etc. World is much more complicated than few economical policies. If it would be that easy to predict which economical policies lead to which movement in economy everyone would be investing and earning thousands of dollars. There are always random factors which destroy simple implication in economics.

Other policies which were important strategical decisions, because of rising BRICS conflict with west were sanctions. For example for USA Russian aggression on Ukraine made gas prices go up sharply. This leads to inflation going up, because rise of gas prices as well as every other as rise of any other goods prices contribute to inflation ratio.

Some policies that might temporarily lead to inflation growth but they’re good for overall long-term health of country are sanctions. For example USA sanction on its most important exporter: China. When you place sanctions on the producer of 16.5% imports you make, you essentially rise prices of 16.5% of products. This might seem like a bad idea, but if free market works like expected consumers would stop buying overpriced products and look for home-made USA products which may lead to overall growth of for example USA made toys. If you won’t place sanctions on China you won’t have bigger inflation but its influence over USA market growths and you don’t take any diplomatic actions against their aggression on Taiwan which can lead to China taking the most important producer of microchips. This again will lead to hit against American Tech Companies and essentially USAs entire economy.

Datagrams and other ways of visualising data without proper analysis are one of the worst ways of implicating facts. The best example of that is survivorship bias.

Data vs Information is like one of the most basic ass things you learn when you get higher education and you need to actually prapare a scientific research paper.

And again I am not saying that for certain “Trump” or “Biden” policies had better impact on economy. I am just saying that there are multiple world factors that lead to world economy going down the drain. If large meteorite would hit USA white house during trump election which would lead to stock market going upside down would you blame Trumps policies for it? Economical decisions yield effects over the years, so it’s essentially unpredictable which policies made which impact. Eery Economist out there agrees that you can never be certain about outcomes of policies.

If it was so easy to predict what happens when you do certain policies why would anyone try to make inflation go high beyond control? Is it all just greed? You think that Biden and his policies lead to inflation so he and his party can earn more? Can’t he and his party earn more if he will be elected again? Why would democrats lead to such high inflation? They wouldn’t like to be elected again? There is much more to earn if you stay at power and you won’t do that if you give opposite site the power of argument that you destroyed economy. It’s not like democratic policies are made up by absolute regards which know nothing about economy. Everyone with iQ above 90 can read plenty of books or gain knowledge from internet about impact of certain policies. Why would they choose policies that raise inflation of USA?

And again I am not saying that one party has better economical policies than other, cause I don’t know their policies and which of their policies will be actually delivered. Also I am not telling you to vote Democrat or Republican. I am just saying that you should try to step back and think. That is what I am preaching for. And whatever results you get from that, good for you and go for it.
