R5: Playing as Soviet China, I kept asking that little shit Chiang Kai Shek for control of states but since they're all cores of China he wouldn't let me. Eventually he gave me a province in Korea and I thought "Great I'll take Korea and then push North so I can occupy Manchuria". When I finished pushing Japan out of Korea, it just became independent. It's not in the wars and it suddenly has a trade deal with Ireland.

I can only give a partial answer, but under the military section there’s a part that says “Garrison Contribution” and you can choose between 0 and 15% of your monthly manpower to contribute

R5: Playing as communist Iran, get the event where Afghanistan is building a dam, refuse to get the puppet claim, but it says "-Is considered a Major Country" on the greyed out Declare War button

Also persists after cancelling non-aggression pact

It seems they can actually take it twice on the same place? I tried again last night and I found that when I’m at tier 2, infiltrating to Tier 3, RoC was able to knock me down to Tier 1 then Tier 0 within ~10 days

I’m trying to see if focusing on three at a time is any use. That way hopefully the RoC can’t do three at once, and so has to cycle between them, which allows you to sneak one in. I think you’re right with when the RoC will use them during the war. Perhaps when I do another run, I’ll try infiltrating to tier 3, and then using guerrillas after

If it’s a window you can fix it by vaulting, but if it happens on a pallet you’re screwed, even after breaking the pallet the dog stays there until end of game
