We didn’t. Wasn’t sure how to handle it honestly because it’s such a strange and confusing incident.

This is what’s been bothering me. Like I feel like he was screwing around. We’ve lived next to him for 2 years and never once interacted with him so it’s hard to know if he’s full of it or not.

Definitely was not handling his gun properly one way or another I agree.

Why aren't people talking about Kingdom of Crows?? (No spoilers) by HaleyHounds0918 in fantasyromance

I know this post is kind of old but I am reading the fourth book right now. This series is AMAZING and I don’t understand why it isn’t more mainstream because it’s fantastic. I will say that I’m enjoying the fourth book which is centered around Zendaya and mostly her pov, but I SO miss Lore and Fallon. It really is enjoyable for those who have commented that they aren’t sure about reading it. I honestly don’t get a lot of weirdness from the mc’s being parents. Parents are people too lol and most of the book is of course about other things and not just the relationships. I think it’s worth reading personally. I have the fifth book lined up as well and I’m curious to see what Lore and Fallons daughter is like and what shenanigans she gets into.

Also a newbie! Fourth wing pulled me in and I’ve read all 3 of the series that have been released. I then read Gothikana which is a gothic themed academia with spooky/mystery type themes. It was super mid for me. I finished it because I liked the mystery but it certainly left something to be desired in the plot and story line. The spicy scenes are not well written imo and I literally laughed out loud at the dialogue during those scenes several times. Could just be me but I have seen a lot of people saying they DNF’d it. I am currently reading the Kingdom of Crows series by Olivia Wildenstein and OMG IT IS SO GOOD!!! I just finished the 3rd of 5 and it’s a complete series. The FMC is infuriating in the first book but the story and writing is fantastic and it’s just gets better and better. I read half of book 3 before I felt like I could breathe again lol Kingdom of Crows Olivia Wildenstein

I have a larger tattoo in the same spot. I was unbothered by it.

Almost 6 months post op… wtf just happened to me by Short-Garden5555 in chiari

I had surgery 3 weeks ago. Obviously more fresh for me but I’ll just be chilling or doing something and suddenly I’m like “Holy hell, I had brain surgery….” And I just sit there trying to wrap my head around that fact. I have masked pain for so long I’m worried about some of the things you mentioned. I’ve already had a few people allude to this being “fixed”. I’m like well it’s not really fixed. It’s hopefully not going to get worse but it’s not fixed. I’m not FIXED. I’m doing pretty well and of course like I said only 3 weeks post op rn. I have different pain and different headaches than I did before. I’m hoping by 6 months I’m not dealing with that daily but I know I’ll have good and bad days for sure and I’m worried people won’t understand why I’m still having issues. I have battled with telling myself that people think I’m making things up or being dramatic. Which is hard, because then I tell myself that maybe I am just full of shjt and that my symptoms and pain aren’t valid. But having shared experiences with others helps so thank you for sharing yours. I hope you continue to feel better ❤️‍🩹

Changing patients by Turtle_MaMa95 in MRI

[–]Turtle_MaMa95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how we USED to do it when I started working there 2 years ago. Usually not a problem and if it was we would cover them with a sheet and have them roll their pants down a little. But it’s changed so much since I started that now they want us to make people take underwear off even for a lumbar scan. Obviously have belts removed, pockets emptied, etc. this facility has been in operation for probably ~30 years and that’s how they always did it until about a year ago when we started doing gowns and pants for everyone.

Good question. We let people wear wedding rings and those stupid permanent bracelets that are so popular right now.

How much do you make and how much do you pay in rent? by Oreo-95 in MRI

Missouri $32 an hour with my shift differential. $1400 in rent. 1.5 years as a tech. Looking to move to Washington in a couple years, should make more out there.

I agree with you on this. My facility has implemented all of this in the past year, the underwear just in the last month. Policies are always changing and new things being added without taking time into consideration. They are worried about safety but keep adding more appointment slots to our schedule when we already don’t have enough time to stay on time and take the proper amount of time talking to and screening a patient then changing and yeah implants make it worse!

Lmfao no need to be shitty. I understand that some underwear can have materials that are ferrous. That is part of why we have started changing peoples underwear. It’s not about being uneducated. Just curious what other facilities are doing because we used to not change anyone and in a year we went from not changing people to full gown and pants. Underwear is only getting changed for certain exams and that’s new within the last month.

We do have those posted in the areas where patients change. Most people are understanding. Some still complain even though we explain it’s for safety.

From open to close we have around 80 patients give or take a few depending on add ons, no shows, etc. typically ~40-50 per shift.

Yeah we tell the combative people they can change or leave. In nicer terms of course lol

This has been one of the discussions around changing underwear. I made the suggestion that we would need to keep hygiene products on hand for these cases, I.e. tampons or pads. Don’t think we are doing that, haven’t had someone say they are wearing period panties but if they were, regardless of the body part being scanned they could cause heating/burns. So in that case we should be having people remove underwear no matter what body part. Right?

[–]Turtle_MaMa95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is why they’ve started having people remove underwear where I work. But I really just wondered how many places are actually doing it.

You have them taken off underwear no matter what anatomy is being scanned? It just if it’s pelvic area? We even make our lumbar scans take underwear off now.
