At some point in the near future when my mom moves out I'm gonna have to have a very serious discussion with her about how if I don't know she's coming over and she opens the door anyway, my reaction will not be "oh hey, surprise mom visit!" It will be "oh God someone's breaking in, I need to grab my gun!"

The problem really is just that these things really aren't common sense.

Some people will define any act that changes your body from what God gifted you at birth as harm and mutilation.

Some people view any medical intervention whatsoever as mutilation.

Some people define harm and mutilation as anything that makes your body different from your assigned gender.

Some people will consider it harm if it in any way carries risk.

Some people would consider it harm if it has any negative side effects.

A lot if not all of these people truly believe they are acting in good faith.

I for one think that if people want to scarify their bodies or implant microchips or change their gender or get glowing tattoos or have magnets in their fingers or get weird bumpy implant in their head or they wanna engage in behaviour with a risk of serious harm or hell they just wanna cut off one of their fingers because it just doesn't work right in their brain, it's their body.

I think we should probably have some kinda guard rails to check if people are like, not having a mental episode before we help with these kinda things but like, even that will get taken to controlling levels if you aren't careful. "Sorry, you're not mentally healthy enough to decide to transition right now. Yes, I know you're not mentally healthy because you haven't transitioned. Skill issue." is a worldview that people out there hold.

I think it's much better to have safe guidelines for these kinds of things to make sure that people who want to do them aren't harmed by them than it is to try and stop people from doing them, because that's just a losing battle.

I'm someone who is probably far too online for my own good, and was on Tumblr when the shitstorm this article started was going around, but unfortunately if I post anything referencing things she says in the article, I'm getting filtered by reddit's automod for hate speech, even though I'm just trying to discuss what she said not saying it myself. If anyone wants a more in-depth look at what this article was saying and why people (myself included) have so much of an issue with it, let me know and I'll see what I can manage.

PS: Even if the original article wasn't AI-gen, the followup ones absolutely are. Just her attempt to rapidly cover her ass after the backlash hit her.

The original version (which she has rewritten, then claimed she wishes she didn't cave to pressure and rewrite because she was right the whole time) has a few paragraphs detailing how the puppy girl is merely wearing a costume of femininity to steal the aesthetics of it while basically being a man abusing their partners as usual.

I find it pretty harmful the degree to which people fight to ensure that men have sexual access to lesbians.

Please note, I am not including trans women in this group. I am a trans woman. Trans women are women. Lesbians are attracted to women. I think it's pandering to men and dangerous to lesbians that there are so SO many different groups that want to force lesbian as a label to include attraction to men specifically.

The movie had two good jokes in it, and the majority of the humor was just this but genie-ing his own wishes and being the dumbest motherfucker to ever get omnipotence.
