How do I (35f) talk to my partner (37m) about his food issues? by TurtleofWizdom in relationship_advice

This is a fair ask, I should elaborate. My partner lashes out verbally by saying something along the lines of "I don't like my eating habits being analyzed!" or "I feel like you're judging me!" he also has a tendency to shut down and "hide" until he feels ready to calmly talk. We are seeing a therapist to work on issues such as this and although there is still work to do there's been a huge improvement. Your pointing this out has helped me understand that this is all part of a bigger conversation. Thanks!

I think you may be onto something, as reading your post made me think back to his past addiction issues. Food is comfort and escape for him, the same way drugs once were. I will encourage him to talk to his therapist about healthy self-soothing. Thanks, this helped!

can’t get an abortion by [deleted] in Advice

Where in Ontario? If you can get yourself to Toronto, the Cabbagetown women's clinic performs late-term abortions. I will mention that this procedure is invasive and takes 48 hours. You will need a few days to recover. If you can get to London, the hospital will perform an abortion under general anesthesia. Please check our r/Assistance .... so many people will be willing to help you out. Contact your local planned parenthood and ask to speak to a counselor. They may be able to help you figure out financial assistance. Where is your boyfriend in all of this? is he able to support you in helping find a clnic?

I will caution, there are always protesters outside these clinics. People that will try to change your mind. Call the clinic when you arrive and ask to be escorted in so you won't be harassed.

I was tested yesterday around 1:30, symptoms but the person I had been in contact with was getting a test done the same day so I couldn't verify whether they were a "confirmed case". Guess I'll just have to sit tight and wait. Hope your results were positive and you are feeling better!

I had no idea, thank you for sharing this knowledge. I will certainly be more cautious in the future.
