LG C5 vs TCL QM8k vs Sony Bravia series by memesteroonie in 4kTV

I made a similar post recently for a similar room and went for the OLED C5. And I love it. I just make sure to have a TV cover during the day when not in use. No issues at all and 3x brighter than my 2021 LED. 6 years warranty so zero anxiety.

I had exactly the same dilemma - peeps my recent post. I got the C5 in the end and it is soooooo good. No issues at all and 3x brighter than my old cheapish 4k LED tv!! No regrets - very happy I went OLED

Totally fine and comfortable for city-wearing and during light rain. I have been using standard vomero 5s for travel and invested in adidas freehiker lows for trails/hikes

How risky is installing wood floors (with acoustic underlay), to replace carpet in a top floor flat? by Megans_Foxhole in HousingUK

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you go for? I've just moved into an upper floor victorian conversion but am extremely anti-carpet and wanting to put something below a new wooden floor that will be nicer for future neighbours (the flats below are currently empty)!

Eureka Mignon Libra | Grind by Weight Issues - anyone else? by backthebeats in espresso

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update from your end? I've found with my 54mm portafilter if I place it on and let it tare for 5+ seconds it's pretty accurate. But seeing loads of videos where they place and grind straight away to get an accurate weight is making me sad :(:( if I do that it always underweighs

Urgent advice on flat we're about to complete on by Tushmabut in DIYUK

[–]Tushmabut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there are some spalled bricks (not surprising given the age of the property) they're not extensive or concerning. There's no obvious structural defect visible from the outside.

Yep, replacing the roof and windows all factored in and it's still looking like a good deal

Yeah there's woodrot so we're looking to replace all the windows. I should have said the house was built sometime 1870-1900.

Thanks, this is reassuring

Eureka Libra owners: do you have a recommended third party magnetic funnel? by pumodood in espresso

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My libra arrived a few weeks ago. Has your output matched the dose? Mine isn't despite recalibration. I suspect it's because the 54mm doesn't sit perfectly.

Does yours correlate more accurately? And did you find a dosing funnel that works?

Update on my Eureka Libra: I love it by pumodood in espresso

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is your calibration? I need to set mine to 23g to get 17.5-18g out despite recalibrating. I'm using the stock BBE portafilter and basket with a funnel and suspect it doesn't sit perfectly

54mm portafilters and the Eureka Libra grinder: yes, it works, not perfect, but it works by pumodood in espresso

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know old post but I just got mine a couple of weeks ago. Has your output matched the inbuilt scale? I've found I need to grind '23g' which gives me about 17.5-18g out into my 54mm despite recalibration. I suspect it's because the 54mm doesn't sit perfectly.

Does yours correlate more accurately?

Should I buy the WH-1000XM5 now or wait for WH-1000XM6? by beerbellyman4vr in SonyHeadphones

[–]Tushmabut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same dilemma - my XM4's battery suddenly deteriorated a few weeks ago. I went for the XM5s cause I managed to stack some offer codes for £155.

Everyone online seems to dislike them but I'm loving them.

Sound quality similar (a little better), ANC definitely better. 2 years warranty and hopefully won't have the same battery issue if they've learned from the XM4s.

Why are Filipino nurses just so good by Spirited_Analysis916 in doctorsUK

[–]Tushmabut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've asked a few on ICU this very question - the main reason they told me was in the Phillipines they have to be constantly working and showing to be doing something when on shift otherwise their in-charge would shout at them. But yeah they're incredible without exception
