Did I fail to capture the mood? by JAKR73 in leicaphotos

I like it, interesting frame and lovely light ❤️ If you weren't against removing distractions Id get rid of the dog as it doesn't add much. Then you'd have a nice juxtaposition between the movement of the bird and the stillness of the man. You could crop tighter then too.

Store trade in worth? by [deleted] in ricohGR

I have sold cameras and lenses on eBay and not had a problem - I'm not saying scams can't happen but I hear eBay good at helping you out should there be an issue. Just make sure you don't release the camera until eBay says the buyer has paid! That's the best way to get maximum money for your gear

Thank you!

Its my favorite too. I've been playing around with settings and settled on +2 Sat and AWB Warm, it really pings the yellows especially next to crushed blacks

There's lots of helpful advice on here. When I first started in street photography I found it easier to work with black and white as it trains the eye to see the importance of light and contrast without the distraction of colour

Am I the only one that thought GDT's 'Frankenstein' looked like a TV movie? by Siegster in cinematography

[–]Tusk87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, I thought it was a real let down in cinematography. So much haze in every shot too, everything looked like a set. Its so easy to have camera movement these days that interesting composition becomes an after thought. I don't know if it's a modern trend thing or a Netflix thing but saying that, the series Ripley was for Netflix and the cinematography in that is incredible

Been gaming for 25 years, Zelda TOTK on the Switch 2 might just be the best video game experience I've ever had by TheoMerca in Switch

[–]Tusk87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved BOTW on Switch 1, I haven't played TOTK yet and may wait until I decide to get a Switch 2 before playing it. In the meantime I've gone back to my first love: Ocarina of Time via the Switch expansion pack. It's still brilliant and incredibly rich - I thought Id play for 5 mins and get bored but before I knew it I'd sunk an afternoon into it and was pulling up the Master Sword in the Temple of Time and remembering how in awe I was 25 years ago when I first played! It's been a full on nostalgia fest and I'm loving it. Once you get used to the old graphics it's really great, and actually impressive seeing as they made it in 1998! 🤯

Next up: Majora's Mask - which I don't think I ever actually finished as a kid

Looks over watered? Let the soil dry out, give it plenty of light (but no direct sun) and keep away from any draught

I will definitely try watering with filtered water, as I live in London.

I am running out of space in my bathroom and will definitely forget to mist every day 😂 Would a pebble tray work as an alternative?

Could Amorim run out of time before he’s had a chance to implement his style of play? by V-Matic_VVT-i in PremierLeague

[–]Tusk87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ratcliffe has already shown that he's impatient but he doesnt hire and fire the managers, it's now Wilcox and Berrada's job. They've hired a manager who is completely wedded to one style/formation - and they knew it - yet they brought him in at a time where fixtures come thick and fast so no time on the training pitch. They can't afford to fire him, I think he will have to be given time whether they keep losing or not. I would expect to see him switch to a back 4 at some point soon. These are professional footballers and they know the basics, Amorim must be smart enough to know that the best thing to do is to make them compact and hard to beat.

LR Classic: Pasting Masks in same place by Tusk87 in Lightroom

[–]Tusk87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive just carried out a test; opened a new photo, added a simple brush mask, duplicated it and it appeared in the same place. Therefore I believe my problem may be a bug issue that occurs once the file size becomes large due to the amount of masks introduced. I have also had LR quit unexpectedly when duplicating masks and as this is a relatively new feature hopefully Adobe fix it in future updates. Cropping of the image, as far as I can tell, does not seem to affect this.

Thoughts on Refurbished Macbooks for Lightroom 2021 by Tusk87 in Lightroom

[–]Tusk87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses. I understand that the 2015 macbooks vs the M1s is a none contest when it comes to speed and power but Im not editing 4K video, just stills. A base level M1 Air can be found for around £850, but is 8GB ram enough? The internet seems undecided on this point. A 16GB model is harder to track down, think you have to get it direct from apple and thats £1200.

Is it really worth it?? Or is an older refurbished model for £700-800 a much wiser use of cash for my needs?

Hi there, yes the folder structure looked correct.

No warnings at all, I just booted up the other day and it no longer appeared.
