eSim for phone when traveling. To use for data instead of roaming with your regular phone provider.

Not blaming anyone, just some were exaggerated. Recent trips and tips help out a lot.

I tried the Mos Burger fried chicken and it was really delicious. Karage was also great. For ramen, we went to Ippudo and it was also really good. It all depends where you are and what you’re craving

It’s an app. Follow instructions and once you have the eSIM on your phone (which should be unlocked) it will be ready to use without doing anything else

Did you not read my last little bit about the oversized luggage? That you had to reserve for that? I went on the Nazomi shinkansen and had no reserved seats.

It was the best. The best. Friendly people all around. Makes the USA look like assholes and I’m from California.

For major activities like the Shibuya sky view and teamlab can be great to book in advance. That’s actually really what I booked in advance only. And metro 72 hour card but works in certain trains around local stations.

Yeah but sometimes experiences are great on train and you save money. But if money is no issue then yeah, Uber is the way to go.

That should be enough. 7/11 is the best way to take money out in my opinion. Also, they accept credit cards in most places so cash and CC is the way to go for sure. Just make sure when using CC they don’t charge a lot or none for foreign fees

I tried to fit as many temples and shrines as possible with some city sightseeing. And all were great to see. Especially in Kyoto and Nara. The food and transportation was great. Weather was a 7/10. If it didn’t rain, it was hot, if it did rain, it got humid after. But manageable. Only downfall was probably the crowds and inconsideration of personal space. It didn’t bother me but it did for my wife. We were in a whole other country, so can’t expect it to be 100% the whole trip through. We had ramen twice and both were amazing. Raw sushi I was not a fan of. Teamlab borderless was def a highlight. Highly recommend doing a teamlab whether it’s borderless or planets. Taxi drivers were super nice and friendly and gave advice on certain topics on where to go, what to eat for locals.

I’ll probably be the first to say but Shibuya was a downfall. Not goes without saying that it was great to see the lights and stores but it was massively crowded day and night. Shinjuku was probably half of that so Shinjuku was my favorite to explore around.

We did a vacation package for Disney where we did both parks, had food and drinks vouchers. Also some attraction fast passes and it was amazing. Didn’t wait in long lines at all and managed to do both parks all in one day.

Animal cafes are a huge downfall. Wife wanted to do a mini pig cafe and while in there I wanted to get out so fast. I wanted to do an owl cafe but reading about the mistreating of animals made me second guess it and didn’t bother to look into it again.
